I've been playing with many roms (liquidsmooth / CM / Wanam / Omega) out there running 4.2, but all of them have been giving me terrible battery life. Mainly due to the stock kernel - who's been eating up up too 75 percent of my juice after a full charge.
However, I've installed Jellybam 6.5 a couple of days ago - it runs a modded kernel - and battery life has been freaking great again. Battery is on 50 percent after 20 hours of low (light user, me, keep that in mind) use. Not showing off - just stating that with my habits I would've gotten 15 hours max out of one full charge on any of the other 4.2 rom's out there. Color me impressed. Now I am fully aware that this might be due to local settings - like the radio - that work better in my location, but maybe this goes for other people too.
If you can do without the Sammy Stock functions and you want to run a stable, battery efficient rom with 4.2 - this is definitely worth a shot.
