I really do. I am sucker for build quality. If the Nexus Q was still available i would have purchased it (wish I would have bit the bullet in the first place, would have gotten it for free). But the only reason I need a laptop over my tablet is to edit photographs (raw files, nothing to heavy) and edit video (gopro...). It the Pixel could do those two things I would spend the money, I just can't justify it without those two requirements.

Now I am just thinking of picking up an ASUS N56VM....come on Google!

Have you researched the Chromebook's ability to do that kind of editing? I have a Chromebook and it runs Chrome OS. Chrome OS is technically nothing more than a Chrome web browser, you can't install normal desktop apps on it. Editing photos is very basic (crop and brightness) and I don't think Chrome OS can edit video at all. It would be nice if there were online editors that provided professional-grade image/video editing capability. I'm sure someone will find a way to be able to run a full Linux distro on a Pixel but it seems that buying a regular laptop would be cheaper and easier for what you want.

Just saying you should check into this.

Ardchoille, that is exactly what I am saying, I already know that there are no programs to handle raw files or to do any type of videoing editing. That is what stinks about the Pixel, no matter how much I would love to buy one I can't since it won't do those two task. Just wish it did....

Ah, ok, I misunderstood your post.. sorry about that. I'm glad to hear that you've done some research on the device before purchasing it.. I wish more people did this. Good job.

Yeah, I would definitely buy a Pixel if it were able to do more in-depth image editing.

Go for the Asus I think. The Chromebook Pixel is a rather expensive way to browse and post on Android Forums, and for playing Facebook. :smokingsomb:
