Best case for note 2?

Wow, I got my custom case in from Photo Gifts for Easter, Holiday Gifts Ideas | ArtsCow. It's a really minimalistic case. So much so, that I may actually use it on a daily basis. Best thing, you can get it made in matte material, rather than shiny plastic, so for those of you that don't like the slippery feeling of the Note 2, but also want a thin case, this might be a good choice for you. Sorry, I wanted to get the international version out of the car, to show pics. It's kinda like the casemate customized barely there case, so it doesn't protect the top or bottom of the phone, but since I hate using cases so much, this is one that could be a daily driver for me. At the price (cheapest price out there), it's pretty great for a customized matte finish case:

By matte finish, do you mean it has a grip like rubberized type of material? I talked to someone who customized their Casemate Tough case with pictures. I can tell you from experience of so many cases I've tested - Tough is one of the slimmest cases with a best protection (inner tpu bumper, outer textured shell). But for this custom picture project Casemate changes outer shell into shinny hard plastic slippery back to print the image. You still get inner tpu bumper, but the back no longer has their signature grip

Yeah...it's soft plastic on the inside, but a rubberized texture finish on the customized side. And this costs way less than casemate.

Drex, I like the minimal or barely there cases. I hate covering up this beauty! I understand why people like the full case it's just totally not my preference. I don't think I could come up with that ONE design for my case so I'll pass but that's creative... I bet you have Lakers colors and logos everywhere!

Yup. I'm pretty die-hard, even though the season hasn't gone exactly has expected, still love the Lakers...born and raised a Laker fan and support even when they're not doing well.
It's awesome for my gif live wallpaper. I have it cycling through so many different past Lakers plays that were made into animated gifs.

I also like a minimal case but only when I'm home. Out in the street I need to put my phone in a lunch box or something.
Just the other day I took kids out for pizza. I always use my kickstand case for places like this cause kids take forever to eat so I gotta watch a movie.
Anyway, this woman busts out with her Note 2 (she JUST got it.....pizza is 5 doors down from Sprint) and faster than you can say boo her phone was on the ground. Yes.....I damn near dropped a tear.
She didn't have to pick it up for me to know it was too late for last rites.
Her's was not in a case and I felt so bad I didn't have the heart to sit there with mine so I put it back in my pocket.
Someone bumped into her and once she picked up her phone it got so heated in there between her and the bumper I told the kids lets go. Pizza became take out.

I hear you on the case. My son still likes to pick mine up when I'm not looking and throw it on my hardwood floor. Good thing that I have a good case on there or it would be destroyed. LOL

That's how I'm currently using the case, but I might just use it daily, once my new car dock comes in (hopefully it delivered already or will deliver soon). I really like the matte finish on it and hearing stories like that (and knowing my scares that I mentioned on here before), just makes me want a little protection (since the case really doesn't add any difference in bulk).
I say that now and I can just see myself tossing the case aside and going back to just my extra skin that I have lying around waiting to be installed.

I have a 3 yr old toddler running around here who thinks my phone is his tablet (he does have his own tablet). It's against the law to snap his neck but when he turns 4, it's on. LOL j/p people....nothing to see here.....move along.....I don't hit kids!
So far he hasn't dropped my phone but has lost the s-pen more times than I can count.
As punishment for touching my phone I make him go find my s-pen.

For me, i got Platinum case with kickstand from BestBuy for $35 (from memory). This is a hard cover slider case. Works great. I did stick on 4 pieces of thin felt inside the corners of the case...just for the heck of it more than shock absorption. I need it because it has the kickstand...and i do use N2 for movies (with my Klipsch S4A II earphones). In addition, since it is my work phone, i also need a belt clip and this Platinum case provides at great one.

But considering how advanced kids are nowadays, when it comes to tech...the bright side is that, as you get older, you'll have an on sight IT person for a long time!...LOL.

I just got my note 2 a few days ago that is replacing a very serviceable thunderbolt that damaged its screen during a painful slow motion tumble down a wooden staircase. I would love to just get a skin like I had on my TB, but figure I should play it a little safe and go for a case instead. I'm looking for something as thin as possible that wont make it any more difficult getting it in and out of my front pocket than it already is. I really liked the kickstand on my TB so I would like to get that as well. Is there anything better suited than the Seidio Surface that matches my criteria? Overall this phone is amazing so far-I can't believe my phone has more cores than my home PC!

Thin case and kickstand included is pretty tough to find. Most of the cases that have an integrated kickstand add a little 'bit of thickness. I hate cases, but I bought a custom case from Photo Gifts for Easter, Holiday Gifts Ideas | ArtsCow that I chose my own picture and got a matte finish (for anti-slip). It works perfectly, but I don't use it that often. I also purchased a portable plastic kickstand that fits on my keychain. Only thing with the kickstand is, it only holds the Note 2 in landscape mode (because it's a light plastic). I know there are other, slightly bigger, portable kickstands out there that are more sturdy, but never really needed it.

I have the Seidio CSR3SSGT2K-BK SURFACE Case with Metal Kickstand for Samsung Galaxy Note 2... there is a Black, Red , or Blue case...I always use Seidio cases, and this one for the Note 2 is perfect

I got a backcase that allows the screen to be off the surface when face down and has a pivoting kickstand at suprisingly enough the verizon store when I bought my phone. I had a thunderbolt also. That actually was one pretty amazing phone considering the limitations it had.
