Root [ROM] Angry Bean / CM 10.1 [build 08.08.13]

I have had no issues with the camera. Did you make sure to follow the instructions in the OP, including Joe_Blow's hacks? I don't have HDMI to test with so this is something I will need to purchase. Since I still have my old Triumph running Virgin Mobile Revamp I have not had any need for HDMI. I am not sure if Chairshot can dig into this, as I think he does have the HDMI connector. I will check with him and see what he comes back with.

I did not perform Joe_Blow's hacks but I have done Leslie Ann's "Fix everything by turning your phone into an Evo 3d". I installed the January OTA through the RUU process and have since flashed the newest march OTA firmware update using ramjet73's zip file. I am S-off with Hboot 1.04 and radio 1.09.00.0108. The camera button works for me, even from the home screen. Its just when I press it the first time I get the gallery has stopped pop up.

Edit/Update: I put GalleryGoogle.apk in the system app folder and removed gallery2.apk, the camera button works with out issue.

Now that I have been using this rom a couple days I have run into another issue. Occasionally I will lose my data connection even though the status bar shows 3g (its gray instead of blue however). This in areas where I typically have a strong connection on ICS roms. I have been able to fix it by toggling the data connection or rebooting the phone. I have also had a couple random reboots.

Bumpity bump bump times 100. I've had this problem since the 3-10-13 release (first I ever tried). Glad to see it's not just me. Latest release seems to have improved the data reliability, although not entirely. I'm also new to seeing blue v.s. grey font, what's the difference? Sometimes it works when grey, sometimes it doesn't... it always seems to work when blue though.

Data connection for me seems to be fine. GPS though isn't doing great. It will connect, update navigation, then it will almost freeze end then tell me signal was lost. Sadly I really kind of depend on my phones GPS. Please any help is appreciated.

You need to flash this: gpsfix.zip | by xthedakmanx for EVO 3D

GPS was doing the same for me, Until I flashed the GPS fix. Now it works great!

These, some force closes when some apps are first run (apollo, gallery/camera, my samsung printing app) but otherwise getting to be a very solid rom.

to answer inhs' question. This color change has been around for awhile. I believe:

Blue = connected to Google services
Grey = not connected to Google services

∙ Complete fix for GPS - g60
∙ WiMax Tweaks - g60
∙ Rolled back Wifi/BT Hardware - Chairshot
∙ Device file update and CellBroadcastReceiver - dastin

The GPS should now be working perfectly as we are now using the prebuilt gps.so files. The tweaks I added in the WiMax should hopefully resolve the log file build up, this needs more testing but should be good to go thanks to Team Evervolv. Chairshot added back in our stock Wifi & Bluetooth firmware from the Virgin Mobile Evo. The Wifi and Bluetooth seem much improved over the past builds. Chairshot will be adding in more of our stock libs as we continue forward. Dastin cleaned up some code for the shootevm, and also add in the CellBroadcastReceiver feature, this adds the ability for emergency texts such as tornado warnings, AMBER alerts, etc.

As always Enjoy :D

First, I want to say thanks cause most ROMs I have tried for this phone suck compared to this one. Secondly, I want to make sure I'm upgrading right when new updates come out, I need to do a full wipe? Or can I just wipe both caches?

Thanks :) Also I always recommend a full wipe and reload. Now that Google restore is actually working it's not so bad to do reloads anymore as all your apps will come back. If you need data to the apps Titanium Backup is a nice feature.
