Force Close Error

Hi friends,
im new to android development, and did my first application just now.
But when i run it in simulator it shows a message "Sorry The application has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. [Force Close]". My application just contains a textbox and listbox. just add the string in text box to listbox. i got it from a textbook.

How to solve this? I think its a silly thing for most of you...

You need to check the logcat, that will tell you what the error is.

logcat?

I donno what that is but according to eclipse there are no errors in the coding.
Any other possibilities than that?

When you run your app from eclipse, there will be a log running at the bottom called a logcat. when your app closes unexpectedly you will usually get error messages there. Usually in red. An unexpected close is caused by a runtime error, not a compile error.
