Root Nexus 4 root problem

I was trying to root using a toolkit, and it didnt have CWM Supersu zip on the sd card
My phone is stuck on the X logo. and when i try to go to recovery , it says download mode do not unplug until completed. plus i have a red light, is there a solution to this?

I can get into recovery mode fine

Recovery as in CWM/TWRP or stock recovery?

sorry not have no replied, but everything is a OK! Think i might have forgotten to unzip the files since i have a mac:p
but i do not have a backup to stock, which is ok i guess because i love PA!!!!

but i do have another question i have Paranoid android, with a franco kernel( and the app to go with it), I was wondering, because i want to receive more battery life and on screen time, how to undervolt / underclock?
and maybe im not looking hard enough but doesnt PA have alot of customization features?
Thanks very much for your time!

PA has loads of customisation features! :)

With regards to undervolting, my experience on a number of handsets is that it generally doesn't offer any measurable difference in battery life, like wise with underclocking (although I've not played about with it too much).

If you want to mess about with that sort of stuff though, take a look at Trickster Mod Kernel Settings, that has loads of options for that sort of thing.

Like EL said, messing with the volting doesn't yield anything worth writing home about. IMO it's best to just leave it alone. One less thing to mess with which in turn is one less option that could turn your beloved N4 into a door stop. :D

Underclocking can potentially get you some more juice though. Bringing it down to 1k or 1100 ish with interactive governor should get you better battery life than stock.
