[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

I have YET to have an issue with TWRP. If I am doing a clean flash, I always use Superwipe, which formats the four main partitions. I don't rely on the recovery to do it. Highly recommended.

So you're not doing any other wiping besides flashing superwipe? What is the latest version of superwipe just so I am sure I have it. I'm having all sorts of issues and I almost switched back to cwm but I love that its working for some people. I will have to admit, I have flashed superwipe and then did a manual wipe. I guess it could mess things up but who knows.

The only things that need to be wiped in a full flash are /data, /system, /cache and /dalvik. Superwipe formats all four partitions. So in TWRP you can just stack Superwipe, ROM & Gapps.

NEVER - for the benefit of readers and lurkers - NEVER wipe internal memory. That's where the new ROM and Gapps are sitting, waiting to be flashed. And quite a few people have done just that. It gets ugly.

I believe Team Sourcery released a Galaxy Nexus Superwipe in IRC... you'll have to ask the dev team if they can leave it up in IRC :)

I have upgraded to 5.1 and have an interesting problem. I have used Smart Keyboard Pro for a long time and it has worked perfect on all versions of JBS so far, but not on 5.1. When I go to "language and input" it shows Smart Keyboard Pro. I put check beside Smart Keyboard Pro and then click on "default" above that and the only keyboard listed is English (US) Android Keyboard (AOSP). Usually, below that I would see Smart Keyboard and there would be a select button out to the right of it to select that keyboard, but it is not there. The only thing below the default keyboard is "set up input methods". Selecting that gives me a screen with three selections: Android Keyboard (AOSP), Google Voice Typing, and Smart Keyboard Pro. I select Smart Keyboard Pro here and then back out of that screen to the original screen and now Smart Keyboard Pro is unselected.

No matter what I do, I cannot get the ROM to change to Smart Keyboard Pro. Is there something in the ROM that is forcing it to stay with the default keyboard?

I had the exact problem enabling Swype after 2 clean installs. I grabbed 5.1.3 from irc and problem is gone, can now use Swype again. I thought it might have been an update on swypes end cuz I grabbed the newest version, but swift key wouldn't work either. Weird but fixed.

Awesome freaking Rom, I don't even want to play with anything else...thank you, devs!!!

This time I did a completely clean install (unusual for me) and that is when I saw this issue. Will try the 5.1.x newest update and see what happens.

Is the 5.1.3 an official update yet or is it a beta?

UPDATE: I think CWM doesn't work well with TWRP. I told CWM to use TWRP and tried to create a backup, failed. So I went into TWRP and tried, failed. I then went into Goomanager and reinstalled TWRP and it's backing up now. SO, just FYI.

Call me OCD, but CWM and TWRP are not supposed to work together. They are two different custom recoveries. You either are using one or the other, but cannot use both at the same time. I am going to go out on a limb and state that where you mentioned "CWM" in your post above, you meant to say "Rom Manager"? Just for the readers.
