Root Phone says searching for service and phone number unknown?

I gave my mom this phone and everything was working perfect for a while and now she was asking me why her phone was stuck at searching for service and I took a look at the phone status and it says phone number unknown. :thinking:

I've never seen that before and don't know what to do

Edit: wifi is not working either. This is puzzling. I'm currently working on flashing a different rom and seeing if that fixes it

Also, I haven't been on this forum in a long time and I just saw there's a problem thread and would appreciate if a mod can move this there.

I think you should see the contact the company where you bought that phone from, or you can also call the service provider. I hope it will get sorted out real soon.

Just to eliminate possibilities, the phone isn't in test mode is it? # key go to hidden menu?

the # key does go to hidden menu. So that means its in test mode?
