Well, sometime today. It's obviously not there yet. Also, are you sure it's coming down thru kies? The sprint announcement gave the instructions for using the phones 'samsung software update' feature. I also noted someone on engadget mentioned downloading from a samsumg website.
Just downloaded via Kies today. After applying the update, at first it indicated my battery was down to low charge, and the phone was hot. Turned it off and then back on. I plugged it back in and it showed 76% charge. Now seems to be working fine. (It did rearrange my apps to Grid mode, so I went in and changed it to alphabetical mode.)
Downloaded and installed (thanks for the link, iTzKPanda), but now the battery seems to drain faster than it charges - that is, even if it's plugged in, if it's on, the battery drains. I have it shut off now and charging, but I was wondering if anyone else has had battery problems this bad.

Neither - Kies should automatically inform you that there is an update for your phone when phone is connected via USB to the PC.
Mine kept stalling when Kies tried to download the update from the PC to the phone. Finally called Sprint even tho' the CS reps do not know as much about technical issues as I do. Anyhow I decided to move the USB cable from 3.0 to a 2.0 port on the PC, and then it worked and updated the phone in 5 minutes.
Always a good idea to BACK UP the phone info - using Kies - BEFORE doing an update.
I ended up doing a hard reset and that seems to have resolved whatever was draining the battery like mad. Working like a charm now.
I took a few screenshots after the update but before the hard reset, so I could get my layout back to what it was originally. As I mentioned, home plus power did the trick, so I can with absolute certainty that it is working after the update.
Yes, I tried that as well. No matter how precisely I press both the soft Home button and Pwr button, it does not take a screenshot. I have now done several hard resets.... no changes...
After JB my battery is draining fast and the RAM is constantly at 550-600 even though there are no running programs,I also disabled some programs manually and still it's running high, what is wrong with this update?
