Data Usage - MetroPCS

Is there any data usage that is not counted against 4G limits? I routinely go over my limit in about 10 days according to my Onavo count and the built in meter. But I usually get a warning about the 20 day mark from Metro. This is more for curiosity, as I hardly ever need the 4G connection. I make my wifi do all the heavy lifting for my phone.

How much do you pay for U Verse? Is it true they make you pay for the router?

I pay $29.99 on Comcast for 25DL 5UL, but they don't bother me with torrents.

I pay a little over $150 with U-Verse but I have the Triple Play HD also with the Premium Pack-HBO,Starz etc.. & also the Sports Pack. It would've been $120 or $130 without those 2 packages. So with Comcast it was around $200 but that was also Triple Play HD no Premium Package though.
Anyway I think the router that your talking about is the gateway(it's also a router) AT&T U-verse Wireless Gateway, it has the same purpose as a modem with Comcast. If you rent one with U-Verse it's $6/month, when I rented a modem with Comcast it was $7.

I clearly worded my question incorrectly. What I should have asked, is some of the mobile's data usage performed by any particular apps while on the systems data (Of course not while on wifi) not counted against the monthly allotment? Say for instance, updating of apps.

All data that goes through metro'$ 4G system is counted against your monthly allotment.

So you are saying no matter what, the data is always counted. Got that.

But are you also saying, they only count the data at 4G speeds? Because I wouldn't mind switching off the 4G and only turning it on when I need it, which is rare. Most of my data usage is emails and chats. I almost never youtube outside of wifi range. Thanks for your help.

Only 4GLTE data counts against your data allotment.

Metro just throttles your Data speed down to 3G if you go over your monthly data allotment and they don't charge you extra.

I have WiFi at home and at work and I got in on the $30.00 monthly promo they had back when I bought my LG Motion and allowed me to bring it over to my LG Spirit.

Unlimited Calls and Text and 250MB of Data which isn't much, but I rarely go over as I'm usually connected to WiFi.

I've only gone over my Data limit once in 5 months and was throttled down to 3G for a few days until the month rolled over.
