Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] Warp OEM 2.70

For the most part it has be a nice from. But I am having an issue with my data. I think it my firmware out of date. Can you give me a hand? A web sight or something. Will be more then happy to donate to your work, if the the problem is solved thanks
Not sure if you fixed this or not. What I did was used another phone to down load any from. Place: SD back in my phone. Ran bootloader installed such first then the from zip. Work sometimes it takes a few attempts, to get it right. I've bricked more then five time also if that doesn't work us the warp drive you used root with. I can walk you through it. Phone is laggy right now or I would write the steps

I'm not quite I fully understand the problem you're having. I think you're having issues getting the ROM to install properly, correct? Let me know and we can take it from there.

I recommend making a complete backup, wiping /data via a factory reset (as it's called in TWRP) then installing the ROM and restoring your apps from within the ROM. This gives the best results.

Updating to newest version now... Merc, what's the possibility of adding power nap to the settings menu to set min sleep speed? I'm going to mod the file and see if it cures the lag at wake... but man that sure would be slick... ;) will let you know if the new version and mod fix my last 2 issues we discussed... Great job! This has been my DD since we started beta testing! Thanks again for all your hard work!
Hmm... that'd be a pretty cool option! I'd have to write a custom settings app to implement it, but it could be done. I'm just not sure I have the skills or time to do it right now lol

And thanks for all your help!

Yes the color also do you know if the in call volume is supposed to be low because yesterday was nearly impossible to hear?

I've always had that on my Warp too. DM put a volume fix in his kernel, but I'd like to see if it could be upped a little more, even. I inquired about it, so we'll see what can be done. I'd love to have this modded also!

As for the color, I'm working on a new themed interface for Warp OEM, so I'll most likely incorporate a color fix into it.

Dude don't worry I fixed it turns out the custom lock screen for my music player when the music is paused and I try to lower volume it lowered the in call volume instead. Needless to say I have now fixed this.

I have just finished installing this awesome rom! It made this phone into something new. lol

This is truly a fast rom. I will now have to spend time to move into my new phone and set it up the way I like. Coming from a Samsung Prevail with CTMod 3.75.2 will take a little getting used to. But in a very good way! Goodbye my old friend Prevail, hello you incredible Warp!

Thanks to all who worked on this rom, really good work guys, I love it.

Hi, Riven, and welcome to AF!

Glad you like the ROM... but it's not over yet! I'm working on porting the notification toggles and theming the interface, so keep an eye out for Warp OEM 2.5 :D

...and when we get a stable JB base, watch for WOEM 3.0!

Guys I need a little help. I used this method to gain root and install TWRP

http://androidforums.com/boost-mobi...ot-method-works-w-b10-update-1-28-2013-a.html

Everything was working fine I made backups of my phone before installing Warp OEM 2.01. The install went fine no issues and while in the rom I can see my backups in file manager but whenever I go into TWRP recovery they disappear, twrp just cannot mount the sd card. I have tried going into twrp from the shutdown menu and manually by holding the volume up and power but still nothing.

It may be as easy as just re installing TWRP but I am not familiar with doing this manually, any help or instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mercury, I downloaded 2.01 but when I go to flash it in TWRP it keeps failing, anyone else having this problem??

Now that you mention it I had this issue also, it said unable to mount /system as root. Since I was unsure what to do about it I rebooted and the rom was installed and seemed to be working. But now I have the issue I mentioned above where TWRP cannot mount the sd card.

Help! lol I am not to concerned I am sure there is a easy way to fix this. I hope.

Correction: Sorry I am a bit sleep deprived, I got this message when I tried to update the su binary and that is where I got that message not during the rom install. Sorry for the confusion, could this be what caused my issue? Not sure if I had any problem with TWRP before doing that.
Is there a way to roll back the su binary to the one that came with the rom manually? As it stands I cannot reinstall the rom unless I move the zip to internal memory, would that be ok? Sorry for all the questions but I am trying to learn what to do. Thanks for the help.

Reading your OP on this I see you said wifi tether is not working...I downloaded Android Tether from apps store...and it works flawlessly...Just an fyi...

Yes, WiFi tethering works fine when using a downloaded app, but there is an option in the settings menu (Tethering Options) which has a built-in WiFi tether option which does not (yet) work. I probably should update the wording of the OP lol

Edit: OP updated.

I think I'm gonna flash CWM recovery and see if I can get this rom to flash at that point, stay tuned...

Hi, Slayer! I just re-installed 2.01 on my test unit just to be sure, and it goes fine on my TWRP. The only thing that comes to mind would be some of the options in TWRP that may have gotten changed and are preventing the install from working properly... I'm not 100% sure. What's the exact text that is displayed when it fails?

No problem! I'm quite familiar with sleep deprivation! haha

So if I understand you correctly, you updated the SU binary from within Android? If so, it shouldn't affect TWRP, since it's booting to a different partition entirely. There's no issue with moving the ROM ZIP to the internal memory, you can copy it anywhere you'd like and it should work fine when put back on the SD. Hope this helps!

One other thing I thought of for you that were having SD card mounting problems! If I remember correctly, TWRP only works reliably with SDs formatted in Android.

I believe only Android itself has DOS/Windows/Linux filesystem drivers needed to mount these formats (FAT12, FAT16 or FAT32 for DOS, NTFS for Windows, or EXT3 or EXT4 for Linux/Android) TWRP (or CWM for that matter) does not.

Ok thanks! I think this was the answer, I have been stuck in the windows world too long! lol I forgot this bit of pertinent info. I used erase sd card in settings menu and I think that did the trick. :D:rolleyes:

The main difference is that MP4 is more widely recognized format, meaning you won't have a huge problem if you want to play your newly recorded video back on your PC or burn it to a DVD, etc. Just about everything can play an MP4, not so much with a 3GP, although there is conversion software to tackle this, such as Xilisoft's awesome Video Converter Ultimate.

Thank you. I was wondering because I use to run ICS ROM by Jet and my videos were being stored as .mp4.
