Dropped my phone last week, screen went dark now I just got a replacement (so I can now give my 7 year old daughter her inc4G back:) so I'll be needing s off of course. I've done the dirty racun 3 times on 3 different phones successfully but for the sake of adventure was thinking of this method for this go around. Question is what is the real difference in the two methods other than the *process or steps that lead down the yellow brick road* any benefits or downfalls that anyone knows of? Thank you.

Facepalm is a bit safer. It's not tricking the processor into download mode that it could get stuck in,its using an ingeniously simple method of booting the phone with disabled write protection so that the secure flag is able to be turned of from the booted OS.

The downside is you don't get the humerous descriptions of what's going on ;) (raccun is sneeking... Raccun has entered your fridge!)

I used facepalm on my one s. The only issues that arrise are a minor fustration, and don't potentially leave you with a bricked, non working phone

Give it a go :)
