I'm guessing this happened on either late night 4/8/13 or early morning 4/9/13:

BEST BUY no longer has the ONE for T-MOBILE. They've totally removed it from the website, only showing the SPRINT & AT&T models, as if the T-MOBILE variant was never there. Not even available as an unactivated (unsubsidized) purchase

One of two possible explanations :

Sold out & no longer taking orders for the T-MOBILE version in the future..
Or, took it down & refunded those who pre-ordered, as the original orders were w/the classic plans, which are no longer offered by T-MOBILE.

Anyone happen to order the ONE on T-MOBILE via BEST BUY & have some information on the subject?

THX!

EDIT:

Found a partial answer,regarding T-MOBILE classic plans:

Best Buy Internal Doc Says Simple Choice Plans Coming At End Of "Fiscal Year", Classic Plans Still Available | TmoNewsTmoNews

Now,to find out about future stock for the ONE one T-MOBILE @ BEST BUY.......
(an SKU search [8548102] on BEST BUY's site turned up nothing):(

EDIT PART DEUX:

Found a sign-up for it on BEST BUY's e-BAY store:

I personally haven't heard anything but it might be something regarding their non contract plans. I know we don't cover them anymore (although we still offer the old plan), plus I believe as a company we have been moving further away from t-mo. In our store we don't even offer it unless you mail the phone. Seems stupid but hey, they pay the bills!

Ready once announced has its merits, but by that reckoning what are Samsung doing announcing the S4 a good month before anyone can lay hands on it? Obviously Samsung's marketing department should be fired en masse ;)

And you really think that the First will get all of the attention?? By my reckoning the First and the One are aimed at completely different markets, and will barely compete with each other at all.

Pre-ordered mine and the wife's today at local BB  Tried to go on line, but wouldn't let me do 2 phones in a single "basket" (and therefore take advantage of the 18mo 0% financing offer), so I had to go to the store . I'll have to go back, though on the 19th, assuming they get their supply...

It's kinda funny... she was all ready to get an EVO LTE until I told her I was going to get her a One, too, just so she wouldn't be lusting after mine!!!! :D Now, she's ALMOST as excited as I am, even tho I'm MUCH more the "nerd!"

The first will get attention all over the media because of facebook. The one will not get any media traction, it will just be another phone. HTC website does not even link you to where you can order the one. It just says coming soon.

So I went to AT&T twice. First time they didn't have the black version in 64gb. No release date for the black version either. That was last week. I went back in today and tried to pre-order the silver 64gb version. I am purchasing the phone outright because I used my upgrade on the HTC One X+ in November.

I got told that because I am purchasing outright and not in a 2 year agreement, I am unable to do the pre-order. I must be able to do a 2 year renewal agreement and since I'm not eligible for the upgrade, I'm not allowed to get the phone until the release day! So I asked if there was any possible way to have a phone placed on hold so I can come in and get it right away, and no go on that.

Is this some kind of sick joke?! I think I'll be emailing HTC CS because that means, the offer is invalid to me on their website and I was going to try to take advantage of that. :(

This doesn't sound right at all. Either it is a misunderstanding or it is a third party store (Not a corporate AT&T) that commissions their employees based on contract signings (Yes this exists). Having said that just go online to AT&T and preorder the 64GB version on a Month to Month for 649.99 (I just checked and it is available) or buy the Developers Edition.

That doesn't seem right. Have you attempted going to another corporate store or even a third party retailer like best buy or RadioShack? Come to my best buy, I'm sure we would be happy to preorder one for you :)

Can you manage to get an AT&T 64GB version ordered via BEST BUY? I haven't seen that option on-line.
I'm leaning towards T-MOBILE & settling for the 32GB version, but, others who may have a good trade-in allowance might be interested in purchasing an AT&T 64GB off-contract via BEST BUY if it's possible.

I'm interested to see how hard FB push the marketing for this. Unless they do I think the media attention is already ended, and the "Facebook phone" story has already been told.

But if your belief that the FB launcher makes this phone a threat to the One is correct, that would make it a threat to all new phones (and HTC would at least benefit from making the First).

Personally I don't buy it. My prediction is that the S4 will get far more attention than the First, and the S4 is a direct competitor.

Absolutely. HTC has said that the One will be their flagship for 2013, so to say that they have a lot riding on this release would be a gross understatement. While they may not be able to keep up with the marketing budget for the s4, they will be going all out on advertising the One when it becomes available (they might have to hold off for a while due to supply shortages.)

I think HTC knows that the First is a niche product, since unless you're one of those people that checks Facebook fifty times a day why would you consider getting a mid range phone that is overrun with status updates and pictures of people's cats.

The First is going for $100 on ATT, with lower specs than the One.

You can disable Facebook and get a stock Android, not Sense, phone for cheap. Great move by HTC. They ought to sell quite a few.

We have threads in the Lounge on it and Home and a First forum to discuss more details on that.

And they're also releasing a Sense version of the same phone.

Those following announcements have known all along that HTC will be producing more phones this year than just the flagship One.

By definition, flagship means that you have a fleet ok.

If you want a nice dual core 4.3" phone, the First or its equivalent may be the phone for you.

If you want the One, it's far better.

I don't believe that there's any cause for controversy or alarm here.

rivera - long time no see! :)

Pay attention to this link. Use your order #.

Sprint | Check Your Order Status

This is the standard message all pre order's are getting:

Status: Thanks for pre-ordering the HTC One Silver with White accent. You are one step closer to getting your phone. Keep an eye out for a shipping email with your tracking information. We will do our best to get it to you by Friday, April 19. For questions, visit sprint.com/preorder.

As long as it gets here by the 19th I am fine with that. I don't want it to be like the LTE last year with the Apple delays.

If you want more info, contact sprint as they are the official word.

Hello

I pre ordered my One today.
Will we get the one a day early? or will it be on that Friday?
