Root [ZIP] 10.1 Visual Voicemail Fix | *9016 Fixed

I'm running the latest WFTN ROM I can see the text of what i sent but it will not play the audio... any suggestions ?

Edit I reinstalled and it works well now.
Also I'm using the sprint version of that ROM and MMS and VVM work after applying this fix

Working with Dirty Unicorns 1.7 as well... assuming it'll continue working on through the 4.2 updates

So on Dakman's Midnight Rom CM, I can get through to the UI just fine, and messages display and are tapable, but the play button doesn't work. You hit play, then nothing happens.

Works on PACman without a problem. Message shows up right away.

Now... How do I block the texts!?

I have added a new zip which should resolve the issues with the 9016 text. Please test this to also make sure MMS is working as well. This is also posted in the OP.

NOTE: If you have already flashed the first file release I did you should only need to flash this once. Then test MMS and also call yourself. The MMS app included in this zip is compiled from source code.

I don't believe so, but you can always test is.

Now Brian I assume you are on Sprint service? If so would be willing to flash a semi stock ROM but replace the visual voice mail app with the one in the zip I have? If so once you get your VMM working delete all the messages and use Titanium Backup to backup data and the app. I probably can create a fixed zip for the Sprint Version. Just drop me a PM.

Things are really hectic for me right now. Not sure when I'll be able to mess around with this

I have let the VM error slide since I rarely get voicemails. Maybe one a month lol... But willing to help test if needed when I have a chance.

If you get a Voicemail you will get tons of 9016 text messages. This is only effecting people that flashed the first version. If you are running Angry Bean 4/9 and my specific patch for Angry Bean this is not a problem.

The 9016 fix works on pacman. flashed once after flashing the other zip earlier. Got the voicemail notification right away without any 9016 text messages!

You'd probably have to change the APNS to get sprint mms.

But your service is through Virgin Mobile right? I actually have a sprint phone so I'm thinking it may be different

Thank you! Just flashed this on PACMAN 22.0.1 and it's working flawlessly. VVM is working, and I'm not getting the annoying texts.

Thank you for this, G60! This was the most important feature to me that I lost when flashing the 4.2.2 roms. I've been hopping along on that Evervolv nightly I posted in your other thread and it's missing a few features, so looking forward to trying this out. Does your latest Angry Bean come with VVM installed, or is this fix still necessary to get VVM up and running? Thanks for your hard work!

You will need to flash the VVM on Angry Bean but I have just a special zip for that ROM, the link is listed in the OP

The download is for the 9016 fix with VVM.
