Ubuntu touch is on spectrum. Why not lucid

I just looked at the Ubuntu wiki and saw that the lg spectrum has Ubuntu touch developer preview. I know that spectrum and lucid are quite similar so why not port it over. I would love to get the full os when it is released.

Ubuntu touch is so early in the development stage, it's not even worth it yet. last time i check the only working apps are phone, browser and pictures. the framework isn't even complete for Ubuntu touch yet.

Mark Shuttleworth claims that ubuntu touch is nearing completion. i think it would be nice to have the OS ported over as soon as it is released. rather than having to do it afterward. it uses all the same drivers as android, so it wont take long. the developer preview isnt fully functional, but it would mean that ubuntu for lucid would be possible.

If it wasn't for final exams and egl, I could look at it. I heard it uses CM kernels so some of our work is done.
