I have the HTC Media Link and cannot seem to get it to work. Every time I try to send something to the media link and it will work for a split second and then prompt me on my phone to turn on my wireless hotspot.

Yes, I'm connected to a router. It says media link is connected to it as well but whenever I try to display anything through media link, it looks like media link disconnects.

Can't say I am having that problem.
I got mine as a freebie for pre-ordering.
Have you tried resetting it?
There is a button on the top that resets it.

I have tried reseting the router. Maybe I'll take the password off of it and see if that works.

the one i got is the same (junk). returning it for a refund i hope (got it free for pre- order also)
was doing more reading an this will supposedly fix the problem

no help for mine though the tv was flashing off and on and red lines all in the screen.

Hey guys, I'm having a lot of Issues with my media link HD.
I bought my One and the media link box in a bundle off of Ebay.
I don't think the media link is faulty per say as I follow the instructions to connect to it with my old One X and it works 1st time perfectly every time.
However when I try to use the One, it just says "unable to connect to device" on the phone. I'm connected to my home Wifi as its says to. Also if I reset the media link HD box and try to connect, it sort of connects, comes to a configuring page but the bar on the phone gets stuck at a third full, and the configuring bar that's displaying on the TV, keeps getting to 2 thirds done, the coming up with a message saying "it cant configure itself with the TV at this time, try again later" (or something similar to that effect).
Can anyone tell me if I am doing something wrong here or if there is another step I'm missing you have to do with sense 5 devices? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Is the HTC Media Link the only way to link my phone to a tv?
I have a micro HDMI to HDMI- No worky
I have a logitech revue, roku, and wifi- no worky
Am I doing something wrong or did they short us? I did purchase it off of someone who got it for free with the purchase. Unfortunately, I did not and he is away on business until tomorrow.

I just got my HTC media link version 1.63.102.2 but it just won't configure with my HTC one stock with 4.4 update.
I can see the tv displaying 3finger swipe, I do it and says configuring but never actually configures. At the end shows a triangle error image saying that the media link could not be configured with my tv.
My next guess is that my tv is not supported but the media link?? Tv: phillips 3 HDMI port, 1 usb port, 1 pc port and AVI
Or does It matter by carrier ? I have simple mobile but uses tmobile nextwork
Any help is appreciated!!

the media link does not work properly with the htc one. i have had the media link for a couple years. worked fine on prior handsets but it does not work properly on the htc one nor does it work on the htc one max (my current device).
you are welcome to contact htc and submit a trouble ticket. many others have done this months ago...

which are DESIRE, ONE, ONE MAX, and ONE MINI. But on the media link support site says any htc phone running sense 4+ should work fine. Other sites say any ONE series phone is compatible.
but i will email HTC on this issues because i really want the media link and don't want to return it. but we will see.

Perhaps in kit kat they fixed the issue.
Now the media link will mirror your device but the ability to stream a video whilst you do other tasks was broken. Again perhaps that's fixed in kit kat.
I've a HTC One Max and I'll try this again. I have chromecast which has better functionality in my opinion.

I've upgraded to kit Kat before I bought the media link.
I was thinking maybe kit Kat is to blame.
I've tried it with different tv's but no good and I dint know anyone who owns a n HTC phone.
And I tried emailing HTC but they ask for a email receipt number. I am subscribed to then but I still don't know what the reception number is.
I guess I have to return it now.
