Google I/O 2013

Hi all

What do you think we should be expecting at Google I/O this year? I'm so hyped up for it!! I have been looking for a new tablet, currently looking at the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, but as of now I'm just waiting to see what might happen at I/O, as there might be a crazy surprise.

It sounds like there will be a lot of talk about Google Glass, revamped tablets, and I'm assuming the Google X phone with Motorola.

I doubt they will. Google I/O cost $900 to get in, and Google is selling Glass for $1,500. Highly unlikely, but possible they could sell them at a discount price for people who attend.

I'm an explorer so I've been paying attention to Google Glass quite closely. I/O attendees aren't getting Glass. I haven't even heard about when I'll be getting glass and the majority of the I/O Explorers from last year haven't ordered theirs yet.

I hope they announce something about the rumored Moto X device. However, the device is said to be delayed. I'm not sure if that will impact Google's potential announcement for it.

Sadly, recently read a blog article that states Google won't be unveiling the X phone nor the Nexus 5 at I/O. And also, semi-relevant to the Google Glass discussion, apparently members of the Explorer Program aren't even allowed to resell or give away their test pieces...lol, Google.

What's so funny about that? I don't blame them for not wanting the users to sell their beta test units. Granted, I can see why it would be an issue. Telling the public what to do/not to do with their own products is rather ridiculous.

That is a bit odd, but Google did select these people for a reason. They are the one, and they don't want random people who are not part of the project to have them. It's a test project and my best guess is that they want the people selected to give feedback on Glass.

In other news, I thought you might appreciate this.

Samsung Nexus 11 tablets, Galaxy Tabs rumored

ALWAYS interested in new Samsung devices. Thanks!!

EDIT:
I would love to see a Galaxy Note 11, I really want one for college next year, as I'm taking mostly engineering and mathematics classes, and need an excellent note taking device to keep me organized.

That's not to say that they won't mention any new (or refreshed) devices. I'm sure they have some stuff up their sleeves. However, I do like the developer approach since that's what the conference was originally supposed to be about.

I still hope for some new tablets, because I love tablets! Especially Android tablets like the nexus devices.
