Help Drawing on my photos

Hi, now excuse me if this is something very simple, but i cant seem to find a way to do it properly.

when i take a screenshot, it allows me to edit the image, by drawing on it or cropping it.

Thing is, recently i've been wanting to actually draw on, or add handwriting to my photos i've got in my gallery. But it seems to only allow me to draw on the 'back' of the photos using the ''Add photo note'', i've tried the 'Edit' option too, which gives me access to PS Touch or another one, From what i can see PS touch only allows me to add text via typing it & picking font & not handwriting (would like to be able to change pen type / colour etc)

Is there a way to do this? Or an App?

I've had the note 10.1 since it first came out, love the thing to bits but i'm not using it to its full potential and am trying to do that before the Note III comes out (Which i will be getting!:) )

Thanks for reading!

Just open the image in PS Touch, then touch the little square in the upper left of the tool menu. Choose the brush and adjust the size and hardness to your liking with the sliders. After that you can draw or write anything you want, right on the picture.

Apparently I don't have enough posts to be allowed to attach images? Sorry, I did one for you, but it doesn't show. It did allow me to go through all of the steps though, which is confusing?

There are a lot of ways to do what you want- I think Skitch is an easy way, but I like using SketchBook Pro for Tablets from Autodesk Inc. in the Play Store....it's key to be able to make a separate layer for your sketching and to see the photo through the text layer and be able to adjust the opacity of each layer.
There are tutorials on YouTube you should look up and watch to decide if you wanna buy it for $5 or so I think.

Hi Bizzie.

13ilgal explained it best if you're not ready to do this via 3rd party apps. The thing is, if you attempt to write on a pic it flips it over for you to write on the back of it. You actually would have to take a screen shot of the pic in order to write on it directly.

I think Samsung should've included front/back as an option instead of the added step of a screen shot.

Thanks guys, will try them out & see what's best for me.

What puzzles me the most is..

I went into the shop today to try out a Note 2, to see if i want a Note as a phone when my upgrade is due.

I went into an image & it had ''add photo note - front'' and ''add photo note - back''

So how come the Note 10.1 doesn't have this feature? It's just what i want!

Thanks!

Note 2 is newer than our Note 10.1....so I guess it's an additional feature.

Thanks guys, will try them out & see what's best for me.

I go into my settings once a photo is open and i don't get the option, I can only add a note to the back of the photo.

What version of Jellybean are you on. I'm only on 4.1.1

The phone i was playing with in the story is just a general Note II, but it was part of a new display. The display included the Galaxy S4 + all the other newest devices (Note 10.1, Note II etc)

My note 10.1 is on 4.1.2.

Maybe the front / back feature will be with us soon?

I've tried the writing on the PS app, thanks for that, i'll use that for now! Just seems a bit laggy in comparison to when i take a screenshot & draw. But i guess it'll do for now!

Thanks guys, seems like I've stumbled across a new feature! hehe!
