Root [ROM][JB][CM] Paranoid Android Ver2.53 Alpha 1 (01MAY2013)

Is it possible to update this to PA 3.1? I would really like to have some of PA's new features on my Triumph.
When PA made the switch to Jellybean, they started with CM10 as a base but later decided to go pure AOSP, and abandoned this branch. That is why I put CM in the title. I have pulled the source for PA AOSP, but haven't got around to it yet. If you want to look at the paranoid github, it is here: https://github.com/ParanoidAndroid/android, there are 3 branches cm_jellybean, ics, and jellybean. I wasn't able to pull the ICS branch when I tried, as they moved some of the files to github. But I believe that the two JB repos should work.
I want to help test ROMs like this, and even do development myself. Can someone give me any advice on how to get started? With this ROM, preferably (gotta get my Jelly Beans for Easter!).
There are guides all around these forums and the net, search for android build environment, and check out these threads:

I will push my changes for the Triumph to my github sometime in the next few days, I have to make sure it will build and boot. Or you can get the device files from mantera or MTDEV-CM10, just search for those names and github, should be in the first few results. Good luck.

As much I would like to contribute, I can't due to technical specifications. My Triumph has more capabilities in it's hardware than the computer I use, with the exception of RAM. Since it's a friend's computer, I can't install Ubuntu on it.
It's all good, it was just an overly technical answer, just in case somebody was wondering.

Well if there was a way that I could go into the zip file and fix the 3G without having to make a build I would cause that's the only MAJOR issue with this ROM.The other bugs are annoying but not a killer to the ROM.

I agree, if even 3G was working I'd be using this as a daily. The prime things I need in my phone are the actual phone calls working, 3G, and MMS. The other bugs in this ROM aren't too bad, but are surely annoying.

Now that you have conquered the ICS part of PA I hope to see you work on this again.I loved how SMOOTH this ROM is.
Ha, I have been working on this. And some others ...
Loving the PA! i run the ics for now because i rely too heavily on 3g hopefully that get resolved soon
btw if you need more testers i love testing roms
See bottom of post.
I feel like in like 2 weeks this ROM will be updated :)
Ha, way ahead of you. ;)
BSydz, is this in the 'jellybean' branch of your PA git repo? I see a 'cm_jellybean' in one of them... I think the 3g issue needs some attention.
As of now ... yes. Man it is a pain setting up a repo. The last build is built with the source from the repo, it can be found in the OP. MT-ParanoidAndroid cm_jellybean

On a side note I got the M410 kernel fully functional with CM9 the no preview was because of the pmem. The only issue with it is it drops signal, so @jhonka232 the signal drop is the kernel.

So ... , who wants some Jellybeans? ...

First boot may get stuck, it is the graphics driver, I just use adb reboot and it works fine, you should be able to pull battery and should boot fine after that.
