Root Hardware issue? Help

The brightness bulbs at the bottom of the screen are busted. I was checking my messages and then the screen started flickering. I thought it was a brightness lag so I rebooted the phone but the screen was fuzzy when I turned it on and when it booted it started flickering again. Like a light flickering at a spooky house.

I took a screen shot where you can actually see what I see. So I'm prettt sure it's a hardware problem but what I would like to know is if there is a temporary fix I can try? If anyone has ever experienced or knows what problem I'm having. It just randomly happened in the beginning of the day and half of my screen is really bright and the other half is low so it's tough checking my phone outside. And when my screen is off the light is still on, it looks like only one bulb is on at the bottom left of my screen. Battery drainer :/

Last night I spoke with Virgin and was informed that they are trying to expedite a replacement for me, the offer for the Victory was mentioned again. I informed them that I have strong WiMAX in my area but not LTE, the only other WiMAX phone is the SGS2, they are going to ask higher ups to see if that's an option. The led issue definitely sounds hardware related, good luck with the replacement. :D

I would love the S4 ;) it's an EVO V replacement, I had the same going for the 4G in my area and definitely in the city, but no LTE from sprint in either of my two areas when I checked the map o_o just sucks I'll have to reroot and s-off again. Plus the development in here is great :)

Does anyone know if they really have to RUU the EVO V before sending it back?

Update: Still no replacement phone so I called up VM and they didn't see my order so I gave them the confirmation code they gave me and they are getting stocked with Evo V's today supposedly, and he said I'd get my replacement Monday.

If I don't see the phone by at least Wednesday then I'll call up again and maybe I can get a different phone. OverByter has a good point though, no SG2 development going on, plus the reviews I read were not so good. Hmmm.
