I've had my esteem for about a year and a half and it constantly reboots all day. Sometimes it reboots while I'm on the phone. At other times, it simply turns off randomly. When it constantly shuts off, it kills my battery and is highly annoying. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, if theres anything I could do to help it, or if I should just get a new phone because it only seems to get worse.

On an unrelated note am i the only one that MetroPCS has blocked use of Opera mobile?

@NeoSabin I don't think I have that app, is it one that you downloaded yourself? I would love to get the Galaxy but I spent almost 400 on this phone, I would rather not buy another one so soon. Is there anything I can do to improve this problem?

Hello and welcome to the forum i see you having a problem with the lg esteem . Well lets get the phone working again before u get the s4 maybe change your mind . May i ask are you rooted .and what zv are you running . I hope zvd . If not u need to upgrade to the latest version zvd.

Do you listen to music on your phone especially ones with a mic that you can control music play with? Also are you near or work at a place that uses walkie talkies or other radio frequencies in high volume?

I too had enough of the Esteem and got the S4. Had enough of Metro too; I'm with T-Mobile now. The call quality is so much better, but there are other trade offs.
Still, I'm more satisfied with the S4 than with the Esteem and my voice quality is better on T-Mobile's network. I may switch back after the merger, since it will be the same service and a bit cheaper.

I've had my phone since may last year and the same thing is happening to my Esteem. my baseband is ZVD and it's rooted but no custom roms installed but I do have ROM toolbox lite, rom manager, busybox and the LG esteem optimizer installed. I have no idea how to do any rom installs so I havent bothered to try it and mess up my phone MORE.
I love the phone otherwise but this crap is NUTTY guys. also is there a reason why it drags on texting sometimes and also sometimes when i tilt the phone to make the keyboard bigger it will close the LG keyboard due to an error.

Battery Battery Battery , this hapend to me and my GF phone months apart, i got a new battery for her and it stopped doing it, Irregardless of your charge over time and past like 400 charges the voltage or amp slips a little the phone restarts instead of ignoring.
