Yer welcome! And if the development for the S4 is anything like the Evo or the S3, there will be plenty of roms to choose from!!

You need to upgrade buddy. Time for some Samsung flavor in your phone life :p

Well as for me, I loved my OG EVO, but it was time for an upgrade. My OG EVO started dying on me (random rebooting, freezing, etc)

Got the new HTC One M7 and I'm loving it! Faster processor, Jelly Bean, better screen, better audio (Beats Audio with two front speakers), and even better 3G.

Yes, I loved my OG EVO, but I needed an upgrade...it was time.

All this upgrade talk has me saving my quarters and maybe at some point I'll decide what to get. I keep looking at the HTC One instead of the S4....Guess I'll decide one day

If you upgrade to the HTC One M7, you will love it!

Especially coming from the OG EVO.

The OG EVO was a great phone, but the HTC One M7 is a worthy successor!

ok so i stickied this thread becasue as this phone gets older, people will be moving on at some point. i think this thread will be a great good bye thread.

fortunately i still have my phone. it is deactivated, but makes a great mp3 player.

I shipped off my old HTC Evo to HTC for the rebate. We'll see if I get the refund.

Y'all might be jumping a lil' quick. (heh heh) Word (rumor) on the street is that Key Lime Pie is being designed for 512 ram, and that Android is refocusing the operating system to be able to support sub 100$ devices to not only be more relevant to the 3rd world countries, but to get the operating system to be less fragmented. If this turns out to be the case...this old phone might return to utter screamer status sooner than later. Just sayin'. :) Personally I'm hanging onto mine for phone use as I've got a nexus 7 for the other bling.

I'm supposed to get $100 which is not bad for a 2 yrs old phone.

That is reason I sent it off.

WOW!! I asked about the trade in when i went with the ltevo and they told me $24 a piece (I have 2) I just chuckled and kept both and canceled my insurance on all my phones. Right now one of the evos is being used to replace a broken photon and the other is still being flashed to a different rom about every other day. I also use it to check out apps before putting on my ltevo. I dont think i will ever part with them.

And now my EVO4g moves to the drawer as a "backup". Picked up the cricket Samsung Galaxy Admire2. 99$ was waaaaay to good a deal to pass up. After a week or so on the Admire2, I find it's the first droid phone I've had where I have no real desire to root/rom/fiddle. JB+dualcore 1.2ghz snapdragon. 1.5gig ram 4 gig rom. 64gig SD card slot. Oh and a 2100mah battery...which flat out rocks in the "its not dead yet, jim!" category. :)

Nice to know the EVO is there "just in case", but for now I await a forum section for my new droid. But as it's doing its thing very very well, I guess I'm not in any sort of snit about things.

Started with stock on the EVO, moved to mikg 3.11 for awhile, and finished up with EVERVOLV nightlies (which are very very good, btw). Good phone, but I was at the limit of things, and using the phone in a very multi-tasked way on the job (driving Taxi), it just wasn't getting things done as smoothly as I needed.

not bad!!!!! keep us posted on that.

Will do...so far no word yet from HTC if they ever got my old phone.

I plan on checking on Monday. If I hear something, I'll let ya all know.:)

Well it took a few e-mails, but I got the $100 gift card in September.

I just spent it this weekend on a Throwback Jersey. :D
