Who else can't wait to get one of these?

My biggest disappointment was the lack of radio antenna making the 8 truly portable. Wifi is great but not always an option and I can't see adding hotspot because despite how others feel, I like the ability to use my phone as a phone. I don't want to have to make an either or decision.

Unless Sprints hotspot offering has changed I simply hated not being able to do both at the same time.

I was at one point considering while i had my Note 8 getting a mifi from Verizon since it was on sale for 99.00. I was looking at another 40 bucks a month. Decided to pass on it as I haven't found a way to add it to my current agreement as another device and share my data.

No knock against people who do it but the person I am would pay for it.
I'd feel guilty tethering for free.

Wow, really? I have an unlimited data plan and feel its immoral for them to charge me a second time for data that I've already paid for. Unlimited is unlimited, it shouldn't matter to them how I am using "unlimited" data.

I don't feel guilty in the slightest, in fact I'm offended that you are suggesting I'm doing something wrong by using data that I'm paying for as I please.

I partially agree with you SDO on the point you made about how the carriers treat us. I don't think it's right for the mobile companies to treat us consumers that way either. But it is what it is. And we agree to their "rules" when we establish service.

Another messed up example is what they've done by changing their wording in the agreement we sign to say "up to" 4GB a month so they dont have to carry our unused data over month to month.

When we sign a service agreement we agree to their terms and unfortunately it doesn't allow room for our own interpretation of their policies. Regardless if we like them or not. I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything like that just pointing out the facts. Most likely in the agreement with your carrier it probably doesn't grant the option to tether at no cost and/or without being under their "control".

You're offended?
Unless I missed something, what part of my post about myself was about you?

LOL. You and your love/hate relationship...

If it still doesn't go well, there's a fellow forum user *cough*drex*cough* who will be more than happy to take it off your hands and provide it a good home... ;)

j/k. :D

I know I'm so wishy washy about this stuff. I get bored so quickly. Im thinking i should find a way to write product reviews and then maybe i can get my hands on an endless supply of new product from the manufacturer

As I watched that video (and others like it) all I could think about is all the comparisons in my head. In a nutshell manufactures are not innovating.
You're a different mold DrEx. You keep your eye on what others may bring to the table but for me, if they're just copying what's already been done, then they bought nothing new.

What if it was $100 less than the Note 8, but comes with their own built in digitizer w/ wacom technology, as well as a keyboard dock/cover? Heck, for the same price as the Note 8.0, it'd be worth it if it came with all of that!

Yeah, but spotty on the internal memory (16/32GB)... Really? Which one is it? LOL.

But seriously, it's probably going to be 16GB.

Yeah, I'm becoming a little more resigned to the 32gb never getting released. The Tab 3 8.0 is supposedly getting released sometime in June, so I think that would likely be the most likely time that we hear anything regarding a 32gb version (if at all), especially with the multiple color rumors being discussed.

I am hankerin' for the Note 2. Currently shopping Craigslist to see if I can pick up a Verizon one for 400-425ish. Then I'll sell my S3 for 225. Then I'll be fully "Noted" out.

Nah, you still need to complete your collection with the original Note. The one that started it all! LOL.

How is the Note 8.0 S Pen anyways? I might just see if the OEM is available to complete my S Pen collection. I love collecting pens of any nature. :p

Man NeoGrandizer, if you like pens you should check out the Wacom Bamboo Feel. It was made especially for Wacom digitizer enabled devices (note 8, 2, & 10.1) among others. I just picked it up from Bestbuy and hope to try it out here tonight.

As for the Samsung S-pens, I think the Note 10.1 S-pen is a little nicer feel since it is a bit longer and has more weight. The Note 8.0 is good but feels a bit thin for my hands for extended use. I hear tbe Samsung S-pen Holder is nice since it resembles more of a real pen. The S-pen with eraser looks nice too as it seems to be in between the 10.1 and the S-pen Holder and allows you to flip around and "erase" on screen. But @ $50 for the Samsung I prefer to try the Wacom Feel for $10 less
On a side note. Since it sounds like you are in to writing/literary utensils.
You should also check out the Palamino Blackwing 602 they are amazing pencils for drawing and writing (cant find the originals any more) but you can buy the official replica at Amazon for $20 per dozen. Here's a petty fascinating video paying homage to the original.

LOL. I already own the S Pen holder and S Pen with eraser. :p

Also have a MS Surface Pro pen that no longers works well after dropping it a few times.

I was interested with the Bamboo Feel, but 2 things turned me away from it. First, it's not compatible with the Note 2 and second, it doesn't have an eraser. Since I already own the S Pen holder, it wasn't really worth the extra to get it (I was looking at the carbon body one; expensive $80).

Edit: I guess I should add that the Intuos5 pen doesn't work on the Notes. No real surprise since it has higher pressure sensitivity and 2 buttons.
