Hello everyone! I'm new here.

I need some help deciding whether I should keep my Droid Razr or get the Samsung Galaxy S4 since I have an upgrade available for my contract.

Based on my personal experience with the Droid Razr, with a few internet browsings here an there and maybe watching one or two videos on youtube the battery would last me about 5 to 8 hours (and much less if I start playing games on my phone). Typically I would just use my phone for calling, texting, browsing, looking at .pdf files of my classes' lectures or homework. I would play games on my phone approximately 1 to 2 times a week. The battery life doesn't really bother me too much except at times when I really need to call someone after my last class of the day (around 7 or 8pm) when my phone's battery is dead or very close to it. Another thing that would cause minor problems is that my phone would sometimes restart when I would play some game apps or exit out of .pdf files, and the phone would get hot/warm at times.

-I like the smart actions option that I have on the razr since it allows my phone to be set on silent automatically (I would forget to turn off my phone when I'm rushing to class from my dorm). The face unlock feature is cool and at times annoying yet funny. The calendar feature is very helpful for me as well.

So my Mom was thinking about getting me a Samsung Galaxy S4, though I'm debating over it since I don't want her to spend money unnecessarily. Originally she bought me the Razr since she thought it was convenient of the "splash"-proof Kevlar (which the S4 will not have) aside from its purpose of helping me in school.
-Is it worth it getting the Galaxy S4 (and how would it benefit me as a college student who is barely transitioning into sophomore year)? Or would I be better off with just sticking with the Razr, based on my type of "smartphone lifestyle"? (I haven't been able to keep up with the latest features of phones since I've been pretty busy at school.)

Thank you everyone in advance for your help/advice! :)
