Help Recent sluggishness and stability issues. Anyone else?

Anyone else having recent stability issues with their Incredible 4G? I am having to reboot my phone every 2 to 3 days because it becomes sluggish or is unable to place calls. This started about 10 days ago in early May. In this forum I previously raved about how my Inc 4G could go for weeks without a reboot. I have tried clearing cache data as well as uninstalling recently updated apps like Weather Channel. I'm at a bit of a loss and am hoping I do not need to Factory Data Reset. :(

Just curious if anyone else is seeing this behavior and if you've tracked it down to a particular app.

Thanks,
Geo

Maps is another app that has received recent updates. I have noticed when I go into Settings > Apps > Running Apps that Maps has multiple entries that are similar. There are usually 2 of them now and each is roughly 7 MB in size. Sometimes there are 3 of them. Ending the duplicates doesn't seem to hurt anything.

I have also cleared the cache of Dialer since it was pretty large. Phone is a bit more stable -- not sure if the Dialer was involved. I was hesitant to clear the Dialer Cache because on an older phone (original Inc, I believe} it had the same effect as a Factory Data Reset. No such problem on the Inc 4G however.

Inc 4G has been more stable this week. Removing Weather Channel app seems to have helped. Note: this is the 2nd time I've had to uninstall Weather Channel. Maybe something in the app isn't happy with our version of Android version 4.0.4?

i have had the weather channel app installed on mine since i got the phone and i never have had stability issues. my issues are more battery life and build quality also lack of updates but i haven't had this problem with the weather channel app.

I was having the same issue...until the last 2 days or so. I also recently started to have the voice text issue just detailed in another thread. Wonder if there was some update pushed that fixed one issue and caused another.

On this topic, someone told me that actually the use of task killers was the wrong thing to do for Android--that android like to fill the memory which is why after killing the tasks you see them all restarting again. I had been using 2 task killers + fast reboot pro, with no real resolution, but (also) about 2 days or so ago I stopped doing this and when getting in to my text messages or looking up a contact, it is fast, no "...loading" or other delays. Not sure if that is true but at least as far as the sluggishness goes, I've been good the last couple days (knock on wood).
