Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] Warp OEM 2.70

hey... rom works great. I have been looking for a good stable rom for awhile and warp oem is by far the best one so far.

i was wondering if anyone else has had any problems trying to delete system apps. i'm using root explorer and when i try too delete anything i get a message that that says "Toolbox". and the file is still there. I've done this a million times on different roms and phones...and i've never seen that message before. Any ideas what it means and what i have to do to fix it?

thanks in advance for any help

I tried to flash theme I made on uot kitchen. I used battery, icons, lockscreen and popup. downloaded theyre zip and replaced the systemUI and framework.res files in the warp oem zip. the lockscreen and popup were fine but the battery and other icons were still the same. thought i'd mention this since it may be related to the problem i mentioned above

First off, thanks! Glad you like it :)

The Warp is a tad different in that it has a binary called toolbox to replace several other common ones which are used to do some basic functions. Are you by chance trying to delete apps from the terminal? If so, there's most likely nothing wrong with your command, the system's just telling you the utility you just referenced is part of this toolbox. Simply add the word toolbox (and a space) onto the beginning of your command and try again - should work this time!

So far as the theming issue... I'm not sure lol Maybe the testers have some feedback on that one.

If I Install this, is it best that i data Wipe? and if so how do i go about doing the wipe? I'm still a noob at this, please forgive my ignorance, i dont kw what op to chose, i want to chose the newest one, please help :(

P.S i have CWM

No worries! Yes, I recommend wiping the entire phone (e.g. Factory Reset option in TWRP - sorry I can't remember what it's called in CWM ) then instaling Warp OEM. You can layer it over your last ROM, but I advise against it since some things in my ROM are modded at a low level. Which, incidentally, is also why some tweaks from Warp OEM FC when pulled out and directly inserted into another ROM.

The Warp OEM 2.10 link in the OP is the most recent version.

Hope this helps :)

How do i restore text messages when I install a new ROM? I am using titanium backup but when I restore it doens't do anything. I backed up the one that states "Messaging 2.3.5 (...S/MMS/PREFS).

When you did your backup in TB, did you select app+data? You need the data folder for the messaging app restored to retain your texts. You can also do this manually with the file browser.

I installed Koush's superuser app from Play Store, updated bin app, wiped cache & dalvik,... . Everything is working OK and active superuser app seems to be koush's one, but old superuser still there. How can I remove it ? Can I use Titaniun Backup (paid version) for that?
Yes, TB should be able to remove it just fine.

The name's Thirteen. Mercury Thirteen...

Isn't 0x000d ASCII for carraige return? :p

Thanks again for your hard work bro. Really my only issue is still fc and reboots when managing apps... can't figure it out!!!

Well of course - and I return carriages like no other! lol

Or maybe it's just because I'm a new line of coder!

See what I did there? :p Seriously, though, I still don't get why you're having that. I can't get either of my Warps to do it! Frustration...

Nope, it only wipes /data and /cache. And - as my networking instructor always said - the only dumb question is the one you won't ask. But I actually mean it lol
