Hello all,
I am a Verizon customer located in Northern WV.
I just returned the IPhone 5 and exchanged for a Note 2. The iPhone 5 was a nice device but the cell coverage at my residence was not up to par, I was hoping the Note 2 would have been better, wrong.

Is there a way to utilize my Comcast wifi at my home to send and receive phone calls using my cell number? I have checked the Verizon repeater/ booster device to increase signal strength, but refuse to spend the cash..

Thanks in advance ..

Try this

Settings>More Settings (under Wireless and networks)>Wi-Fi Calling toggled to ON

Not sure if the Verizon model has that function but my T-Mobile Note II does

I would suggest you consider Skype. For a modest yearly fee (was $30) last time I paid it you can call any phone in the us. For twice that you can have a phone number where they call you. Then you could have your Verizon number forward to your Skype number when you are at home. I know it seems foolish when you're paying for service you can't use from Verizon. The other choice I think is to get one of Verizon's signal boosters but they are expensive. You could also use Google Talk over wifi which is free, but no number.

You must live close to me lol. I live near Inwood but on the Virginia side and my service is spotty in my house and yard too. Verizon does have a network extender for your house but I believe there is a charge each month.
