I wonder if there's a setting I could tweak...

disappearing menus and icons? no issues with that for me. maybe try wiping? or reflashing the rom?

The disappearing icons happened to me as well. I'm not sure what was wrong. I tried reflashing but it still continued.

I also experienced a lot of random flickering.

Alright, found others mentioning it in the XDA thread. The fix suggested is to turn off hardware overlays in Developer Options.

Pick of randomly missing icon (notifications).

Wonder if reflashing Komodo will help. I refuse to give up on the combo LOL.

Can I dirty flash a kernel, right? Or go do the ROM again, and then Komodo?

yes wipe dalvik cache and cache and re-flash the kernel should be fine.

Still seeing the flicker. Also seeing some freezing and locks.

I can't leave it alone though. I love the battery life and tweaks quite a lot.

I moved on to liquid smooth with Komodo. Battery life has been amazing.

IS there an XDA thread on Liquid Smooth? Wanna see how it compares to Carbon with regards to tweaks.

Menu> settings>Carbon> power menu. Add it as a power menu option. Hold power button until power menu comes up. Click screenshot.

awesome ROM, love the customization.. only issue so far is the hotspot.. my EVO gets recognized by devices and connects, however they cannot access the internet.. any ideas?

another problem!!

I've flashed this ROM twice and both times my camera would not work .. I get an error message saying "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped." .. then my camera just shuts down.

any fix for this?
