I usually don't use screen protectors, but I have a few bucks left on a gift card I'd like to get rid of. I've read all ten pages of this thread and I don't think I've seen these TechArmor ones mentioned. Good price and good reviews on Amazon. Anybody have any insight on these?
Tech Armor HD Clear Screen Protectors with Lifetime Replacement Warranty for Samsung Galaxy S3 S III Smartphone [3-PACK]:Amazon:Cell Phones & Accessories
Well, I went ahead and ordered these along with some other stuff, and they came in today. I have to say, surprisingly I'm impressed.
The packaging is nice and professional.
You get three protectors, a full size squeegee, (coated cardboard, but nice) and a cleaning cloth that is better quality than a lot of other ones I've seen and used. It is small like most of them are, but fairly thick and has an almost suede feel to it. Also some dust removal tape, plus the instructions and whatnot.
I haven't put one of these on in awhile, so I figured the first one would be a sacrificial offering to the smartphone gods, but it went on fairly easily. The key is doing a dry fit just to make sure where everything lines up. You have to get very close to the home button or the top will cover part of the front camera. This is a good thing. It gives you a good parallel line to guide you with the bottom of the protector and the top of the home button. Went down nicely, very few bubbles that came out easily, did get two specks of dust that I fished out with the included tape. First time for me trying that and it worked great. So far, it was perfect, no bubbles, I'm feeling good lol. Go to pull off the top layer, and the whole protector wanted to come up. Lay it back down and bubbles. Damn! Peeled off the top layer, but all the bubbles came out easily with my thumb. Phew!
This screen protector is very smooth, you really can't feel it, or see it unless you're looking for it. No decrease in responsiveness at all. Doesn't seem to collect fingerprints any worse than the bare screen, but the ones you do get are harder to wipe off. I think that's common. It is cut slightly smaller than the screen like most of these type are due to the curved glass. Just put it on tonight, so I can't say how durable it will be, but it feels pretty hard, I think it will be fine, plus you get three for $7 so you can't beat it. There is also a lifetime warranty on these, not sure if it would be worth it for such an inexpensive item, but it's there.
I didn't follow the installation instructions. I prefer this method:

Overall, I definitely would recommend these to anybody looking for cheap screen protectors. These are the first ones that come up when you search Amazon, and I see why.
