I received my Verizon S4 today in the mail. While I was going through the activation and installation procedures, I checked "My Verizon" and took a look at my data usage. Long story short, I called Verizon to complain/question. She ended up reverting my account back to unlimited data. Has anyone else encountered this?

I didn't yell or get angry or make any demands. That made me think that they realized that they could make more money off of me if they let me keep my account. I crunched the numbers and that doesn't seem to be the case. Has anyone else experienced this?

This happened to some fellow AF members during the S3 & Note 2 launch as well, but just as you did a simple phone call gets things back on the right track.

i tried, got a pretty generic "well i can put in a request for you, and we'll know in 2 business days." I'm not exactly counting on getting my unlimited data back :(

I just checked "My Usage" on the Verizon Wireless site and it still shows me as having an Unlimited data plan. When I preordered, it forced me into a 2GB a month plan because I didn't want to pay the full price of ~ $600. However, there are still 16 days left in my billing cycle. I wonder if it will change to the new plan at that point. I haven't called anyone at Verizon.

Do you already have the phone and have it activated? If it showed the 2GB plan when you ordered, I'm certain you'll get switched over.

I'm using an upgrade on another line that doesn't have unlimited data, and then switching the phone to my line so I can keep unlimited. :)

Yeah, I've got the phone. I had a Verizon tech activate it last night (because for some reason it wouldn't do it automatically when powered on). Yeah, it showed the 2GB plan when I ordered it. I'll cross my fingers that the unlimited plan sticks somehow, but I won't get my hopes up.
