Whoa, that's a good deal! I think I'm waiting for the S3 or some other flagship phone coming down the pike. Another few months, but if I was buying today???

For those that want a link to this deal. It comes with what appears to be a TPC case, a car charger, and some free apps (Smart Office 2, PathAway GPS Express, Picshop Photo Editor, Cash Organizer, SOS Online Backup, Sudoku Infinity).

It is HSN's "Today's Special", and they expect it to sell out (the deal is only good today, and only while they still have them in stock).

RadioShack also has this deal and there are some rumors going around now that the S2 is not going to be available once the S3 comes out

I noticed all the WiMax phones seem to be on "clearance", so I definitely suspect they are looking to discontinue the S2. I suspect Virgin (and Sprint) are looking to get rid of the WiMax phones, with WiMax scheduled to be discontinued in two years. This is frustrating, as they are not doing a good job of offering new LTE phones to replace the current "4G" phones.

As for this deal, the fact that it comes with the TPC style case and a car charger (ignoring the apps) still make it a nicer deal than what Radio Shack is offering.

My local Boost Mobile store said they are limiting the amount of S2's each store can get. They are definitely going to discontinue the model after the S3 is out.

I kind of knew something was up two months ago when I was about to buy an s2 from radio shack and noticed the trade in value was also $0!
These phones are going to be orphans quick.
