quick question about samfirmware

Hey, if i download firmware from samfirmware, can i just flash it normally with CWM, or do i need to flash a modem and kernel as well?

I'm giving away my GS2 and i want it to on stock firmware..
I'm currently on ReVolt rom.

Hope my question was clear.

Also, i just wanted to say that I'm giving away my GS2 because work gave me a GS3,
i loved my GS2, had it since a couple of months after it was released, i've been on this forum a bit, and got help from a lot of you guys, hope i helped a few as well.

It's a .tar file semus, so you'll have to flash it with Odin, as per #1.7 of the Jelly Bean update - Dummies Guide.

I had great fun with my SGSII, and I would still be doing if I had been patient and waited a while longer and gone for a SGS4 (why did they drop the Roman numerals ?) I can have the missus' upgrade in August. I wonder what Samsung will be offering then ?
