Did your voicemail change to Sprint's... whatever they have?

I've had Virgin Mobile as a service for about 3 years now. My first phone was an LG Optimus V. I recorded my VM message, then when I got my HTC One V it automatically transferred... along with all over voicemail settings. Now I get the Victory, and the first time I missed a call and it went to voicemail, it prompted me to set up my Sprint voicemail, complete with new password and everything, like it was the first time I had ever done so. I didn't have any issues setting it up and it works fine, but I thought it was kinda funny that my greeting nor anything else transferred like it did last phone swap.

And then my MMS didn't work properly until I changed the VPN settings manually... and there's no Virgin Mobile splash screen when I boot. No Sprint screen either... nothing but the Samsung one. Anyone else have to same thing? Apparently I may have a flashed over Sprint phone? It was bought from Radio Shack, Virgin Mobile box and everything. Maybe cuz it's a 4G? I dunno.

yeah it doesn't play the virgin mobile jingle. and I don't think it came with any of the company's apps, either.

I believe this is due to the newer line of phones on Virgin having an updated version of the voicemail app that standard is Sprint branded and your old stuff probably was not compatible. I know this because I had the Optimus V, Optimus Elite and those voicemail apps were different than the ones on my old Evo V and current Galaxy Victory.

My fiances mms does not work either, what VPN settings did you change to get them to work with the stock app?

As far as the splash screen stuff goes I do know right out of the box neither mine or my fiance's Victorys showed the Virgin splash screen or annoying jingle until after first boot and the setup for Virgin's theme app called ID packs ran and installed Virgin's crap. Then after that it did and I manually removed it and that damn jingle.

Ok, so stock MMS is working on my fiancees phone! After a month the final thing that worked was discovered! So basically I got the MSL for her phone from Virgin and used it to do a hard reset of the device. It deactivated, factory reset, then activated her phone again. MMS worked right away. The hidden menu to perform this reset one you have MSL is ##786#. Just do the rest and that fixed it for us!
