Accessories HTC ONE accessories (discussion, user reviews)

I have had that in my Amazon cart since I before bought this phone. Its a good deal. I didn't end up getting it because the Otterbox commuter is just too hard to keep taking on and off, and the phone needs a case for me more then the desktop charger. Have you tried using that charger with a MHL to HDMI adapter hooked up to it?

Just as a point of comparison, I have (and love) a Note 2. The bezel is fine and shiney, the front is pristine as the day I bought it, but the back is scratched up quite a bit now and even has what seems to be a permanent imprint about half an inch in length apparently as a result of the way I was pocketing the device.

I recently got a two piece, very light and thin but stiff case.. wish I'd done that right away.

I think the HTC One is already superior in several ways, but in the Samsung plastic regard, quite superior indeed.

If you don't actually care for a case, I'd suggest a new battery cover & one of these body skins:

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 II N7100 Screen Protector (see discount code @ the top of the webpage).

I've got one on my HTC ONE & wish I'd done so w/previous devices. While thin & transparent, it provides an added slip resistance yet is still easy to stow/remove from a shirt/pants pocket.

For $6 I bought FROSTED CLEAR HARD TPU GEL SKIN CASE COVER FOR HTC ONE 2013 M7 PHONE ACCESSORY
From case_ology on ebay.

i could not be happier. The beauty of the One shows through and it protects the camera lens and screen from scratches due to the raised lip in front and material thickness in the back. The on/off switch is raised, yet infrared shines through.

Got mine today, Gray on Clear, looks pretty good on the silver and definitely fits nicely. I also have one of these:

Amazon.com: Hyperion HTC One TPU Case and Screen Protector (Compatible with Sprint HTC One, T-Mobile HTC One, and AT&T HTC One Phones) Hyperion Retail Packaging (Matte Smoke): Cell Phones & Accessories

I like the Poetic better, the volume rocker covers are easier to feel and the back is more of a plastic as opposed to TPU. Haven't noticed any glueing issues with the rubber siding and the rubber has a better feel/grip in my hand than the other case.

I did notice my bottom mic hole was smaller than the other case and wasn't exactly centered but, my gf said I still sound clear and fine so I will leave it alone.

Good luck, there seems to be a lot of nice cases out there.

Update: Over this past weekend on my Peotic Atmosphere case I noticed a section of the rubber (the colored part) separating from the clear case. It is on the side opposite the volume rockers mid screen. I will be contacting customer support. :(

Wonder if my Otterbox will fit in that dock. I read it has something that comes out and certain cases fit. I want one. That's a great price!

If you have the OTTERBOX COMMUTER,you'd need to take off the outer shell, since the case has a door covering the USB Port.Even if you trimmed/removed the door,I still doubt if it'd fit & definitely a no-go w/the OTTERBOX DEFENDER.

It's a snug fit w/this case (with the adapter removed) :

Amazon.com: BoxWave HTC One UniColor Case - Sleek Dual Tone TPU Case for Durable Anti-Slip Protection, Transparent Matte Back with Solid Border - HTC One Cases and Covers (Frosted Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

If you still have questions, perhaps hit-up the OTTERBOX Website, there's a Q&A section @ the bottom of the page:

Commuter Series case for HTC One | OtterBox

HTC One case | Defender Series HTC One case | OtterBox

Sorry to hear that. :( I just got my Poetic Atmosphere in the mail on Saturday. Still don't have my One just yet, but hope to have it by the end of the week. From what I've read, at least Poetic's customer service seems to be really good. Good luck (probably for both of us....)!

Excellent customer service from Exact Deal!! They have sent me a replacement, and I don't have to send them back the damaged unit, just some pictures of what failed. :D

Are there any cases out there that will permit you to show off the beauty of this phone? I have a seidio active case on mine. But when I am not at work I want the ability to switch to a case that the women will admire and so people will ask what type of phone do you have. I cannot lie, the seidio active case comes with a kickstand and I love that feature.

Check out the Supcase white / clear on amazon. It's completely clear on the back, and has a white bumper. It does show off the phones design well enough. I saw that seidio case..no way man lol

I have the seidio active case and the holster for two reasons. One, because I'm a flyer and I put my HTC One in the right pants leg of my flightsuit. Two, the holster protects the screen because you are always bumping into stuff on my plane like racks and stuff. So I have a major protection plan for my phone with the case and holster.

Thanks, I'll take a look at the Supcase.

Just got an e-mail from them (i-BLASON) about two minutes ago.Shipping out tomorrow. The initial availability date was 5/30/2013,but,that got pushed to 6/6/2013.

Amazon.com: i-Blason PowerGlider For 2013 HTC One (M7) Smart Phone Rechargeable External Battery Glider Full Protection Case - AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-mobile (Black): Electronics

The above link reflects the newer/later availability date.

This is one serious beauty! Can't wait to hear what you think of it.

I am tormented with this question. To case, or not to case?
This phone is SO beautiful, I will hate (when the VZ version is released) to put a case on it. Besides, every case I have ever used ends up trapping sand and dust under it, scratching the hell of the phone's body, so it wont protect the pure beauty of the One.
I do have a small child that is sure to get his hands on it and throw it out of a moving car or something, so...

I've never ran into the problems you speak of using a Seidio Active case. Hell, I had a female friend over and things led to the hanky panky. My HTC One was sitting on the nightstand in my hotel room. Next thing I know her arms are going all over the place and she knocks my One onto the carpet. Needless to say, the hanky stopped for a minute to check on my One. Thank goodness I had my Seidio Active case on! Kind of like using protection if you catch my drift. Hope the kids don't read this post.

People using cases should be careful as some of the harder ones I believe can itself damage the paint. I know a person who has an iPhone 5 which apparently uses the same method of painting the aluminum black as the One. The case that he bought actually caused the paint to chip because it was metal and fits too tightly.

As for myself, my phone is still flawless. I will give one caveat though. The white bands on the back (I believe it is some sort of plastic) can get dirty and leave a marking because mine is a bit protruded.

Ok...the screen protector on my HTC One M7 installed by the Sprint sales person is scratched. So I am looking to replace it.

So what is the best screen protector for the HTC One M7?

Any suggestions?

Hard to say which one is best, but this one claims to conceal pre-existing scratches:

HTC ONE M7 Screen Protector

Heard lots of praise for these two brands as well:

Skinomi TechSkin - HTC One M7 Screen Protector

HTC One Screen Protector Steinheil - ONE - HTC - Cell Phones | SPIGEN SGP

I'm using the body skin from XTREME GUARD,but,I'm not a big fan of screen protectors & don't use them.

However, the body skin is holding up just fine,FWIW.

Well,it finally arrived:

PowerGlider External Battery Case for HTC One (M7)

Overall,I am very pleased w/this case.Battery life is essentially doubled. :D

Build quality is nice,w/a matte finish.
Access to all ports/mics are present & do not interfere w/functionality.

I-BLASON absolutely nailed the volume rocker! :thumb: Once again as w/most cases, this one enhances the phones volume rocker function, without being too easy to accidentally depress.

The phone fits extremely snug in the case,as does the top cap.

BTW,the case is of two-piece design,w/the top cap removable, not tracked/grooved into the body of the case,as I had previously believed/mentioned in a prior post.

The kickstand is a nice touch & snaps securely into place when not in use.

I had a couple of minor gripes concerning the cosmetics/aesthetics of the case & posted them at AMAZON:

Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: i-Blason PowerGlider For 2013 HTC One (M7) Smart Phone Rechargeable External Battery Glider Full Protection Case - AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-mobile (Black)

Otherwise,I rate this as a good value & recommend it to the power users who may need an extra bit of juice @ the end of the day, especially when other power sources are not an option,or,inconvenient/impractical.

On a serious note the oil from my fingerprints are driving me insane! I usually purchase the Clear-Touch Anti-glare screen protector that is anti-fingerprint. However, I don't want anti-glare because this phone doesn't need it. The Clear-Touch Crystal clear screen protector does not have the ability to stop fingerprints. So I'm still using the screen protector purchased from Seidio. Anyone got a tip on the best anti-fingerprint screen protector out there?

Seidio Active cases are all made of soft rubber/plastic material. Hence my HTC EVO 4G, HTEC EVO 3D, have remained in immaculate condition.

Lol!! You stopped to check your phone!!! You're lucky she didn't shut the whole thing down.
