In the spirit of games we regret thread, I thought I would try the flip side and ask you all what games you loved but that didnt sell well, or rate well, or are less known.

Old but awesome:
-Clive Barker's Undying

up and comer franchise
- Torchlight 1/2

More fun than I expected (but maybe not the best ever)
- Singularity

Just, cool
- Stalker: SoC, CS

To The Moon, that story. I don't want to spoil anything, but if you're a sucker for a good story, you'll love this game.

Audiosurf for sure, music + an enjoyable game = awesomeness and Audiosurf Air looks like it'll be good too

Alice: Madness Returns, a strange game by all accounts, but well worth the praise

Watch me get slammed for this, but Deus Ex 2 Invisible War. :vroam:

Take it out of the Deus Ex universe and it's a great game.
This is actually the only Deus Ex game I've played, and I really liked it.

Rage. People seemed to write this game off because it wasn't the next Doom, and wasn't PC centric. I thought I was a very enjoyable game with solid controls, and a cool upgrade system.

First two titles from Platinum Games: Bayonetta, and Vanquish.

On the PSP: Half Minute Hero; N+.

One that springs to mind is WET. It was kind of like playing a Quentin Tarantino film.
I rented this game and thought it was pretty fun. I got to the level where you're free falling out of a plane, and couldn't get past it.

If you can, try playing the first one [Deus Ex]. It's obviously very dated, but there's so much more depth to it than the 2nd.
I have a physical copy for PC. I had the PS2 version, But I sold it. I don't like playing shooters on Sony consoles. Their thumb sticks just don't feel right to me.

How so? I have it on PC but haven't started 2 yet.

Don't get me wrong it's not that bad, I just preferred War as a character instead of Death and I suppose it had a lot of decent games coming out around the same time so it got put on the back shelf. I preferred the games that were competing with it at the time so never really got back into it.

Ah. Got it. I'll have to get to it this summer

I always wanted to start a thread like this, but never got around to it. I have a lot of obscure games, but mostly from the PS2 era. I haven't even played through all of the "big" games on PS3 yet lol.

Just a couple to start with:

Disaster Report
Disaster Report for PlayStation 2 Reviews - Metacritic

and

Raw Danger

http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-2/raw-danger!

These are low budget Japanese games that are unique and all about survival. Not survival horror, just survival. There is no combat, just surviving the elements and the environment in the aftermath of natural disasters. Disaster Report has you trying to escape a man made island after a massive earthquake, while the sequel, Raw Danger, takes place after a tsunami and the resulting flood. Both have similar low budget graphics, which don't detract from the experience, but differences in how the stories play out. I would love to see a modern sequel to these games.

More obscure games to come.
