[Verizon] [ROM] AOKP JB-MR1 Milestone 2 [4.2.2] (07.21.13) TORO

Log on to Google Play from your computer and install it to your phone via web browser. :)

Yes, but it thinks the app is already installed (and it is). Hangouts is just a new name for the GTalk app. They are sending out an update that will change the name and logo (and a major overhaul on the app).

Maybe I need to uninstall and re-install....

That's weird cos I had Talk installed, went to the Web Play Store in Chrome on my lappy, searched Hangouts and sent it to my N4.

Maybe uninstalling and installing will fix it.

I just updated this morning.
Gnex running AOKP Build 6
N7 running AOKP MR1
Did both on the device itself. Did have problems a couple days ago. Give it another shot.

I've been having a couple problems lately... one is probably associated with AOKP, not sure if the second one is.

The first problem involves the lock screen wheel shortcuts. As some point they stopped working. They still load the app, but don't unlock the screen... so if I select dialer, I then have to slide to unlock and the dialer will be waiting behind the lock screen.

The second problem I've noticed is the clock in the top right "lags". It will be 30 or so minutes behind the actual time, and seems to happen when the phone has been on for more than 24 hours.

Anyone have any idea how to fix either of these problems?

First solution for me would to be buy Widgetlocker :p
Second question is which build are you on?

For the clock problem go to Date & Time at bottom of settings, are the automatic date/time options checked?

Hey everyone, I've been away for a while (long story) and along the way destroyed my original Gnex, got a new one, was lazy and left it stock for a month or so, couldn't take it anymore, reflashed AOKP greatness. A few things:

1.) Built in wifi tether did NOT work for me.... don't poo poo about dirty flashing because it was a fresh flash on a fresh root. I caved in and bought FoxFi (which is now on sale for $7.95, marked down from a lofty 14.99) which works flawlessly. I'm not complaining, tether isn't the only reason I'm a root user so its really not a huge deal as long as it ultimately works, just thought I would share that for anyone who cares.

2.) No HDMI.... This is something I always wanted to do and just never attempted until now. Did not work with my amazon MHL adapter (yes I plugged the power supply in). Said adapter works with my gf's S4. I know there is a huge debate about compatibility of MHL adapters with specific phones, ie: if it doesn't specifically say it works for your phone then it probably wont. It doesn't say its for the Gnex, nor does it say its for the S4, but it works with S4 and not the Gnex... so is there just no HDMI support or is it the cable? Does anyone have working HDMI on AOKP?

3.) Every now and then there is a noticeable delay after pressing the power button before the screen actually turns on and lights up so I can unlock the phone. It's not terrible but enough to be annoying at times (up to 5 seconds). Originally I had thought it was because of severe underclocking with only one core active (the interactivex governor for example), changing to the interactive governor and raising the minimum clock to 700mhz helped but didn't completely fix the issue. It just seems weird because that never used to happen, even back in the early ICS days with franco's 230mhz kernels... and I see plenty of people with more agressive underclocking schemes who don't experience this.

Other than that, business as usual for AOKP... has anyone found the unicornporn easter egg yet? Probably old but figured I would bring it up because it's nothing short of elite. If anyone has any input, please feel free. Happy flashing

4.2.2 JDQ39

Automatic date and time is checked. This is a fairly new problem. The time in the notification bar is different than the time on my Beautiful Widget clock on the home page, which appears to be accurate. Just checked and the notification bar clock is behind by two minutes, which will grow throughout the day unless I reboot the phone.

Thats the June9th nightly?

And I don't know then about the clock, perhaps go [ROM] [4.2.2] AOKP :: jb-mr1 :: toro - Device Threads - RootzWiki - Page 338 and ask them.

Which build you on? I had tethering problems with my computer, but not my tablet for a long time, the latest nightly it finally worked again for my computer but it took it a really long time to bring up the "home/office/public" network page and then it started to work.

I don't know about the HDMI out, never have tried it.

I haven't experienced that long of a delay, usually a second tops and thats only when its running hot. Try unlocking with pgm nexus app or allowing the volume rockers to wake it and see if it changes that.

And if you mean to unlock the AOKP bootscreen I know back on the milestone if was a number you had to enter into the dialer, haven't tried it again though.

I run the Milestone with perfect success. Wifi Tether is fine.

I find the nightlys to be Russian roulette.

I also returned to the 4.1.1 CDMA - FF02 & LTE Radio FG02 Radios from the 4.2.2 CDMA - FK01, LTE Radio Version- FK02 with improved results.

We have a serious weak spot in our work place and if there is any difference in radios it will raise its head here.

According to the message I got in the AOKPush app, there is a code freeze to squash all bugs and quirky happenings in preparation of Milestone 2.

It is IMMINENT!
