Well you definitely came to the right place.
But please give me some more details, like the carrier you are using, and what exactly have you tried.

Thank you for helping. because I am getting lose angry. I used nokia c3 and yesterday I bought HTC Amaze it has android 2.3.4 its ram 1 gb. and I know i can update because i saw a lot of amaze they have android 4 + Ice cream sandwich. I tried manual update version of android. I tired manual update karnel. and i follow Official help in support.htc.com. for example
1- https://support.htc.com/en-us/HTC_A...ware_Updates/Software_Update_for_HTC_Amaze_4G
2-http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4493

but I still have android 2.3.4 and when I check update in settings. writting there are no new update.

So I'm guessing you have a tmobile branded amaze? Like does your amaze say tmobile in a corner?

Im pretty sure you would need to s-off because you need to SupedCID your device. It should all be in that guide, step by step.
But Listen to me carefully!!
S-Offing is really simple if done correctly.
You need a piece of metal wire. When i did it i used the little metal thing usually found in bags of bread.
If you follow the steps of that thread correctly you should be fine and you should be able to update.
