Hi! I am new to this forum, and just wanted some input from Xperia users who may be more knowledgeable about these phones than I :)

I currently have an XPeria X10 Mini Pro and I love the size of it, the ergonomics, everything...except now that I've had it for two years, it's super laggy and there's a bunch of glitches. (I don't download many apps at all, I don't even browse the web much on it. My SMS experiences glitches where my phone will send the same text 3x, keep saving "drafts" of texts already sent, and lags forever to send or open a text sometimes.)

I am looking to upgrade to a newer Xperia (and I guess bigger, since there doesn't seem to be much option for a smaller phone these days...) I was wondering if any of you have experiences with another Xperia? One that stands the test of time, doesn't have these random glitches, etc? I don't any superfancy features, since I don't make that much use of anything data-related. Just a good camera, comfortable texting, responsive screen, and a battery that lasts the day with moderate texting and few phone calls.

Thanks so much in advance for everyone's help :)

I upgraded to the Xperia Mini Pro. It's slightly bigger, but has a 320x480 screen (as opposed to X10 Mini Pro's 240x320), and more importantly, more RAM.

The keyboard is better, except that if you get the black version, it's difficult to read the alternate characters that are written in blue. (The X10 Mini Pro keyboard was silver, making it easier to read the blue alternate characters.)

While a lot of phone phreaks will tell you that this phone is too old, too slow, etc., it fits my needs, and will probably fit yours. I mostly use it for Skype and Whatsapp, and keep background_apps/disco_features to a minimum. I've also stuck with Android 2.3, even though there's an upgrade to 4.0.

But before you pick up any new phone, I recommend that you backup the data on your X10 Mini Pro, and reset it to factory defaults/wipe data and start fresh, to see if that makes any difference in performance.

PS. There were no new Xperia keyboard phones released in 2013. I think the last two models that Sony (Ericsson) released were the Xperia Pro and the Xperia Mini Pro. Strangely enough, the Xperia Pro actually look like a bigger version of the X10 Mini Pro, instead of looking like a big Mini Pro. Spec-wise, I think the Xperia Pro and Xperia Mini Pro have the same CPU/RAM, with the non-Mini having a bigger screen and higher-res camera.
