Galaxy S3 update--MF1 Radio

Was hesitant to take the update, but I figured it couldn't get worse. Fortunately, it seems to have fixed the 4g issue. I haven't noticed anything else.

That was my thought when I got the upgrade notification today. Now the downloads are back to normal.

Here's a screen shot of the new settings.

The scuttlebutt seems to be that if you didn't take the BMD3 update, you'll get a 129+ MB download, which would indicate that the total update is still being pushed with all of the other "enhancements," but if you had already taken it, you'll get a smaller patch update. What size of update are people noticing?

The update I got from being on MD3 was 24.3MB.

Kept having problems with it untill I flashed the radios manually from MB1. The update finally went through on CWR.

I do not see any better performance of MF1 over MB1 radios, its seems to be actually a little worse, but not as bad as MD3.
I'm stock rooted on MB1 - it's running so well I think I'm gonna keep it that way for a while longer. My battery even seems to be running longer after 3 months!:) I haven't gotten bored enough with it to try a custom ROM yet.

Won't have multi-window and whatever else might be cool, though.

I installed the original update, then at once I started noticing some of the same issues I've noticed some of you have been having while following closely on here. I had dropped call issues, lack of connectivity problems in areas of my home and at work where my phone has never given me problems before.

This morning I saw the update and immediately installed it, after which I noticed an immediate change in my S3's performance. It's sharp again! As for the Multi-Window, I have it but it's turned off from the top drop down menu. Never used it but who knows, might come in handy down the line. I'm satisfied at the moment, and will be a little more hesitant the next time an update pops up.

I really appreciate you all, and the dialogue here...really helped me to keep my calm!!!

I'm in a weird boat. I experienced some, but not serious, issues with the previous update. I did notice my 4G seemed to be deficient in certain areas, but not in all. Then, a couple days ago, my 4G completely tanked, and now it feels like I am on 1x all the time, even though 4G is displaying.

And, the new MF1 update does not appear to have fixed this for me.

Sigh.

Still have the stupid hand icon (Talkback) that shows up in the notification bar after each restart even though it is not turned on. Does anyone know what causes this? The only way I can get rid of it is to go to Settings/Accessibility and turn Talkback On then Off again. It did the same with the last update, but this time it's really being a pain in the ... trying to turn it Off.

Also, same issue with the caller name ID bloat app which if not disabled makes you have 4G and WiFi icons at the same time. I did disable it, and it 's stayed off after a couple reboots.
