[ROM][BETA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Lucid

If you got good data before, I'd say reflash the baseband V8. Try wiping the cache and dalvik cache to hopefully have it work. I have problems turning on my data sometimes, really annoying.

Well that didn't work.... I wiped cache first, no good. Wiped dalvik, no good. Wiped cache then dalvik, no good. Wiped both, then reflashed baseband, no good. I've tried every combo but my data comes and goes, even when greyed out it will update facebook, etc.... so not really sure if it's "off" or not, or if it's just a glitch.... funny that it didn't do it until I did the GPS, I'm wondering if maybe the GPS fix or the fact that it's on might be messing with the radio's. I think I'll try turning off the GPS, and data and possible put it in airplane mode and see what might fix it. I'll take notes and post them here if I find something that works......

Ok maybe it's signaling whether you're roaming or not? I've tried turning off mobile data, GPS, bluetooth, putting it in airplane mode and rebooting. I still get bars and 4g but grey bars, I can open a browser and surf the web just fine no problems loading pages etc... but the bars only turn blue at certain times, that's why I'm wondering if it might be signaling roaming although mine shouldn't be as my contract has no roaming anywhere in the United States. It's just a funny glitch I guess.....

Humm my mobile network state in settings/status shows as Disconnected and roaming is listed as not roaming.... So I assume that the bars mean that I'm not connected to the mobile network......

Ok so found out that Mobile Network State Disconnected just means that my phone is connected thru WiFi - I turn WiFi off and it goes to Connected so that's not it..... LOL

After several searches it seems that being grey means no connection to google servers and blue means that you are connected to them....

I Get the same thing. There's no issue and it's not roaming, otherwise there would be an R or would say "Extended Network" on the lockscreen.

Ok I think I have a fix for this, just go to apps and clear the data on all the google apps that you can, I did and rebooted, after the reboot I got blue bars and blue wifi and so far it hasn't turned grey... Don't know why when I cleared data from CWM Recovery that it didn't work but just clearing data through the apps did.....

So you just couldn't boot unless you used the SoD kernel?

Sleep of death patch reduces the max overclock, which his cpu evidently couldn't handle. SOD patch will go mainstream in the next maintenance release once I tease out the cause of the RIL/GPS bug. A patch for the old kernel will still be available for those who want the extra speed/standby battery life and don't experience the crashes.

Still no progress on egl yet though unfortunately.

Interesting. Well thanks for your work! Wish I could help... but this is all over my head lol.

Ok so I have a serious problem this time: I have no calling or text, yet I do have internet. Texts fail to send and calls are just lost. I haven't had this issue before. A couple days ago I could not get my phone to turn on at all, even while plugged in, but the battery bar would come on sometimes (sometimes it wouldn't). I pulled the battery multiple times and it solved nothing, yet the button lights at the bottom of the phone would flash, so I knew it was at least getting power. After a few battery pulls, I finally got the phone to turn on, yet now I have these issues. Help would be greatly appreciated seeing as I am cut off from the world :)

At the very least I would reflash the Baseband Lucid V8. If that does not work the then reflash everything (CM10b2 GAPPS and Baseband Lucid V8), then preform factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache. DO NOT FORGET TO DO A NANDROID BACKUP PRIOR TO STARTING THIS PROCESS.

Does really noone else have problems with leaving chrome running- then coming to a phone which is frozen?

EDIT- also for the first time mine rebooted while using GPS, but I'm not sure if chrome was up then or if it was something to do with GPS.

When I used Chrome, I had no issues. The stock browser is so much faster and has no frame stutters as Chrome does.

My wife's CM10b2 Lucuid has on two occasions refused to take a picture. The camera app launches and displays the scene, but when the shutter is pressed a message says that it needs an sdcard. A reboot has fixed this but is very annoying. Has anyone else experienced this and/or have a possible solution?

Not at all. Do you have an External SD card?
Another thing is just try reflashing CM10 then gapps, wipe the cache and dalvik cache. Reboot the device after, see if the issue persists.

If your sdcard is flaky and you have another one, try that. I have seen some sdcards that will not always read in Android.

If the camera fails again I will replace the 32Gb SanDisk class 4 sdcard with a 32Gb Samsung class 10 sdcard.

stcarlso - Thank you again for all of your work to bring CM10 to the Lucid, you have helped transform a crippled marginally functional device into a very nice fully functional device.

I finally figured out how to stop the occasional CM10 lockups on the boot screen (where the ROM works normally otherwise). It's a bit inconvenient, but setting airplane mode before shutting down or rebooting and and turning it off after startup has worked 100% for me over the last two weeks.

Just a tip for those who think they have to wipe cache every couple of days when it hangs on boot. It appears to be a RIL issue, b3 improves the frequency of occurrence but doesn't fix the root cause.

I've found that it only hangs on boot for me when my battery completely dies, and I boot it up while its plugged in, however if I let my battery charge a bit, unplug the charger and then boot it doesn't hang.
