Ok so after last nights revelations im going to be downloading a crapload of source and compiling it all when i can. rather than making a bunch of threads for them all if you guys could post the aosp roms you want ill try my best to work on em.

i dont have the ability nor the time to do nightlies for every single rom so chances are youll get weeklies, and sometimes they may be delayed but getting some roms whenever is better than no roms ever :p

Im going to grab Paranoid android source and see if i cant get that working fine, any other suggestions are more than welcome. when submitting bugs please be sure to mark which rom you have issues with etc.

Or just design one of your own. PenguinROM

i tried doing that before, before all these other roms came out and after aokp. took me 5 days to upload all the source to github and then no one on the team wanted to put in work so now it sits abandoned.

https://github.com/ACSOP

back when i was on teh ACS team i thought it was fairly clever and was gunna be a big name player... kind of blew up in my face. regardless i have 0 time for all that. when there is like 5 big aosp roms, all the rest relaly just copy and past eoff them and add their own "twist"

hmmm i see a poll somewhere along the line being added to see which top roms people are really interested in having officially compiled for us than rather ported by flashing a zip just to make it function somewhat.
anyone with a brain would go for the oficianado build rather a port.. even though they do what we want for the most part.. it still just feels dirty :/ lil slut phone letting any ol carrier get inside it.. ewww

unprotected flashing can lead to various LTE's :(

It would be nice to have some tw features on aosp. Like their camera. After video taping you can go back& take a picture of what you're watching. Now that is nice

just not really possible.

ive got AOSPA, PAC-man, blackbean and ill grab jellybam. hopefully all of em will have no issues and work smoothly for me :p

the 4.2.2 is way too complex and time consuming for such devs as shabby to work on. things to consider 4.2.2 comes with a kernel and bootloader that are not compatible for our variant. that means not only shabby would need to modify the rom its self to work for the sch-r530m but he would need to work on a kernel not only compatible with our variant but with the 4.2.2 tw rom. not saying any of this isnt possible just takes alot of man hours. what shabby is offering to do on his spare time is take a shell aka open source rom and custom fit it for the sch-r530m.

Shabby..I know everyone is asking for AOSP..but would it be hard porting the Galaxy S4's TouchWiz 4.2.2 forget these AOSP ROMs everyone's using them..I think a lot of people would prefer an S4 like experience on our "Life Companions."

Anyone agree?

as n4zty said i just dont have the time for all that. youll notice that even on xda with craploads of people who do this stuff they arent porting 4.2.2 either. its just a massive undertaking to port from the quadcore exynos on over and overall just not worth it :/

what would take me months to port a tw rom, can take me 3-4 hours to compile a aosp rom (that doesnt include downloading source or uploading the rom)

I'd love to see BB8 ;) so far, no other 4.2 ROM touches it in comparison. But .. that's just my opinion.

sorry i have no plans on building BB8, i am however going to be uploading BB9 later today.

Please please please do Vanilla Root-Box!
And Slim Bean??

slim bean i requested get official support ill ask em again. and what is rootbox?

paranoid android had a few more bumps than i was expecting but its almost done compiling now, i did a test run of BB9 yesterday and it compiles so once wife gets home ill have her boot it up to test and if it checks out then ill release it :)

BB9 is up and ready just waiting on the mrs to come home from work to test :) PA i hit a bug that doesnt appear to be going anywhere :/ gunna sync up rootbox and jellybam sources overnight

the good thing is with Blackbean is they only really push new changes when they do an update, so if i watch out for bb10 tahts when ill have to compile again :p
