Root [ROM] Harmonia 3.17 17Nov12 (ICS\Sense 3.6)

Well this is strange. Ive used this ROM many times, And all of a sudden I am having some issues with the LEDs. They are randomly coming on throughout the day and I have to turn them off through my quicksettings. It sucks my extended battery like crazy, as it would with any battery. I have no idea what could be causing this. I have not installed any new apps or anything in at least 2 weeks(besides updates to apps that have been installed for a while), But this started happening today. I havent rebooted the phone lately, So I just rebooted. Waiting to see if it happens again.

Just wanted to share this.

Can someone please tell me if the the mobile hotspot works? I just wanna make sure before I go ahead and spend 15$ for it. Thanks in advance

I dont think so, but as long as you have root access you should just use a 3rd party wifi tether app to be sure. I recommend "Barnacle Wifi Tether" from the play store, it's free and it works great.

Can someone tell me if there are any game controllers (wii/xbox 360/ps/etc) that can be connected to the Evo using this ROM? I've tried my wiimote and couldn't get it to work. I'm guessing it's HTC's bluetooth implementation causing the problem from what I've read. I'm not against using a wired controller if those are any easier but would prefer wireless if possible. Thanks

I've been loving this ROM since last fall, however, I recently started using Snapchat and found that my front-facing camera is not working. Tried it in the default Camera app also, and it seems that instead of switching to the front camera, the second lens for the 3D camera mode is activated (i.e. the image just flips upside-down). Is this an issue with the ROM itself, if it's not just one app? Anyone else experiencing this?
I've tried re-flashing a couple times, too, doesn't seem to help.

Personal experience I can say both the icontrolpad and the Gamestop Red Samurai controllers work well with the HTC EVO V. I mainly use the icontrolpad as it is handy when I am on the go. The Red samurai I use with my HDMI MLH out and the icontrolpad to play some impromptu two player mario kart 64 battles on the nearest TV.

I installed this on my gf's phone and the facebook app won't play any of the videos. Pressing on the video thumbnail results in no action taking place whatsoever. Has anyone had this issue before and is there a fix?

There is no video player included in this ROM. You can find your own media player, but I would recommend ES File Explorer. It's a file explorer but it has a lot of media player/viewer capabilities.

I've just flashed the latest version for the first time and I'm getting a Wifi error.

I try to turn it on and it says "Turning on wifi" but it just sits there forever. And if I go back to the main system menu it says "error" under wifi.

I thought it might be because I didn't do a full system wipe before installing the ROM, so I went back, wiped both caches and the system, then reflashed the ROM and it's doing the same thing.

Any possible reasons or solutions for this?

edit:

Got it fixed. Went through this thread (I know I know, I should have started there! :) ) and found that 4ext fixes the wifi issue. I tried a few different TWRP versions and none did the trick.

So thank you all for the help!

Format/wipe everything except sd, if that doesn't work, try flashing a different kernel (only if you're s-off or have smart flash on with 4ext recovery)

Great Rom, love it so far. One question, I would love to get the status bar to auto hide as in the stock Rom. Is there an option I missed?

16 hr update:
Battery drains fast 8% in 10 minutes
Pandora is force restarting while running in background.

Other than that its the best custom Rom I have used as of yet

I was coming back to ask about the battery drain as well.

I know that Android is supposed to "learn" how to manage your battery or whatever, so whenever you do a system wipe or flash a ROM, it takes a bit of time to level out. But with all of the devices I've had and all of the ROMs I've flashed, this ROM by far seems to be draining the battery the most.

Are there any enhancements in the ROM that I could disable that might be gobbling up all this juice? Or perhaps I'm just being impatient and have to give it some more time?

Thanks!
