Root Help Rooting the Pantech Breakout

I need help rooting my Pantech Breakout. I tried gingerbreak, z4mod, and superoneclick with no luck. Anybody know of another way to root the Pantech Breakout? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advances.

I was able to root today.

see the link to see how myself and others did it.

i followed the manual instructions here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1296916

i ran
push Superuser.apk to /system/app and push su to /system/bin.
Then back into adb shell:
chmod 644 /system/app/Superuser.apk
chmod 4755 /system/bin/su

rebooted and i was good to go.

from another thread

The autoscript from doomlord for zergroot didn't work for me, but the manual method did.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1312859

Go to step two on this page, and it provides a pdf of the easiest to understand instructions I've ever seen.

But do download the doomlord files, because you will need them for rooting.

I have tried SuperOneClick, and can't seem to find zergRush without being spammed. I would really like to find a way to root my phone. It's supposed to come with an 8gb sd card. But memory is horrible. All of the apps that came with the phone just take up too much space. I am familiar with the root process. But this one is quite interesting. I have tried the suggestions on here, with no luck. I have hidden the apps, but they are still running in the background. Even with task manager, and a cache cleaner. What now????

Try using the All-in-one cwm recovery on this forum to flash the cwm recovery then flash the rom on this forum to your phone. It frees up a lot of memory and is already rooted as well. All I would recommend is to uninstall the launcher that comes with the rom and install a launcher from the android market.
