This thread brings up a newbie question I've had that I haven't found good info yet when trying to search on my own (haven't tried to hard either I guess) but I'm sure is out there.
To run the stock ROM you can't have downgraded your HBoot (have to be 1.57(8) or jbear version of the same) which makes sense since that's stock ROM wasn't designed for people to unlock their bootloader, but other sense ROMs that are based on stock seem to vary between some that will run on lowered a hboot (such as Mobsters, NegaliteBlueRo,) while a few others around still require you to be on the higher one.
Could anyone share a link that explains why a custom ROM would still require that you be on the higher HBoot and if/what any advantages to that are? Is it simply a matter of the developer not wanting to take the time to modify the ROM to be able to flash it with a downgraded Hboot?
Maybe this question shouldn't be in this thread but it seemed to be a recurring issue for people that tried to flash this ROM that had downgraded their HBoot.
