XDA is full of a bunch of rude people excluding the devs.

Been on a lot of different forums for phones but this one takes the cake! I think its cause moto screwed us all so bad it brought us together!

Lol Motorola's screw ups lead to new friends.. I guess I'll be buying some Droids soon ;)

I think Virgin Mob caught on with Motorola's flaws too, since I've seen every major brand back on the VM store OTHER than Motorola.

Yeah I definitely miss the Triumph users. Always willing to help each other out. Evo V community is a totaly different place. Have learned allot since leaving my Triumph, Especially being more familiar with CM10 and working with the Kernel. Would love to find a cheap replacement and come back in some form or other. Would like to take another shot at some of the stuff I wasn't able to figure out back in the day 7 month ago, lol.

Random thought: Since the Triumph technically wasn't a Motorola product (made by Huawei and rebranded as Motorola, for the 2 remaining people who didn't know that) I wonder if that's why Motorola was so poor in their support for the Triumph...?

On a different note, when I paid my bill yesterday I saw that virginmobileusa.com once again is selling the LG Optimus V, this time for $70. The V was my first Android and I had it for a little less than a year before getting my MT last October. As of today, the V is "Temporarily Out Of Stock" but I wouldn't mind grabbing one or two to keep as a backup phone. I do like my Triumph, and a HUGE part of that is because of the community here. You guys are all great and the devs, past and present, have made it great as well. But a part of me misses that little Optimus. That was one TOUGH phone, put together way better than Huawei did with our MT.

But, alas...

This struck my curiosity.. does the Huawei X6 (or whatever the thing was called) have proper support?

I lurked here a long time before joining.... but I think the MT forum is one of the reasons I've been hanging onto my Triumphs for two years now. No other device has such a following..... am I the only one with a love/hate relationship with this phone?

No. I'm sure that most were like you and me. I had to go and follow the Ting idea. It saves me a whopping $5/mo. At least I got the epic for free, then broke it, and bought another one for $40.

That's why I still try, and fail, to find time to DEV this thing. I still have my wife's MT. The USB port is just about dead. I might get froggy and just try to solder the wires back.

Anyway, I've had the bodyslamming from.... another site for asking a question in the wrong forum. It was related, just not related enough. What eva.

Its funny how almost immediately its easy to know which you're talking about.. heh.

Is Ting GSM, and is there any unlimited data and text plans? Calling isn't an issue.

Did you ever see T-Mob's 30 dollar plan? I'm using it now but for some reason, something in my home is causing A LOT of interference with the HSPA frequencies and the first step I take outside my home is HSPA+, and when I come back in it turns to this awful E for 1X... So I'm trying to find an MVNO that uses AT&T's coverage. Though they're pricey for a ton less features.

Yeah, Ting is an MVNO like VM, but they have their system setup in a way that is more seemless and it helps a bunch with date. My ping is down and the data rate is up.

The thing I like about ting is that the less I use the less I pay. I've paid them about $41 int he two months I've been with them. I did get my firs referal and now won't need to pay them for the next two.:D

Like I said (sort of). I barely use my phone, but for texting, and haven't used 100MB yet. For me it's great.

GSM is nice. AT&T is a fine network too. I just have had great luck with Sprint. I paid $40 for my Epic. I figured that if I like the MT I could live with the Epic and am glad I did. It works soooo much better. I hate to admit it, but I wish the MT would work more like the Epic.

I started on a rant and I'll stop. I don't think that anyone wants to hear my new love:eek:.

I do still try to DEV for the MT, but like before, I don't have time. I've written like 100 lines of code for it in the last month. Most of it is re-written as the code doesn't work the way I want.

Holla.

I for the most part love my MT however the only thing that I love about VM is that my phone bill is only $25 a month right now. and because I am broke and can't afford a new phone I will be sticking with this phone a while longer. I loved how easy it was to root and install CWM and custom roms compared to trying to root my optimus v. when I can get a new phone it will probley be 4g and be through boost mobile since they get better service here and if I can't use it as a hot spot then I will continue with my MT and pay for it as a hotspot.

but this MT forum has always been helpful with all my stupid noob questions

Just curious... Since Boost also runs on the Sprint network, how do you get better service with Boost compared to VM?
