KDZ Updater constantly crashing?

I keep running into this issue. I'm trying to roll back my Lucid to Gingerbread (and maybe CM10) in hopes to get my 4G service back. After the final OTA update, they've seen to have taken it away. I live in an area where 4G is very available, so it's not a coverage issue.

I've converted both the v5 and v6 GB .cab files to KDZ, and both crash the updater merely seconds after starting the update. My phone is in download mode, I've done a factory reset and an SD card wipe just before this. Still crashing. I have done this successfully in the past, so I'm at a loss as to what I'm doing wrong.

This happens on both computers I have access to, one with XP Home, the other with 7 Ultimate.

When I had CM10 4G worked fine...look the issue is that KDZ freezes up at first, then resumes, you MUST leave it alone, when it's finished freezing it the program will be functional again. Just leave it alone at first, it WILL freeze up.
