[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

First of all, thanks to the developers of this ROM and all of the hard work put forth. It's the best!

I'm still running 5.2 which is the best ROM I've ever used. It's absolutely perfect. But like always, I want the absolute best performance and battery combination I can achieve so now I'm focusing on kernels. I've used several kernels with it (for several days at a time), and I always come back to the stock Sourcerizer kernel. FWIW, my favorite kernel besides the stock was the Fancy kernel. My battery has never lasted longer and the performance was great. That came after some tweaks to the settings. But for some reason, my Bluetooth streaming to my car suffered. I switched back and forth several times and it was always a problem.

I'd like to know what settings people are using on the stock Sourcerizer kernel and what those tweaks accomplished (better battery usage, performance, both). BTW, my goal is mainly better battery with the kernel. Performance is already great.

+1. Nothing stable after 5.2. Same apps 5.4, Sourceress UI force closes and loses status bar, but good ole 5.2 hangs right in. I tried different governors & underclocking and improved battery life. BUT at the expense of performance. Got 4 batteries now, just in case and using performance governor and speeds of 1400 & 700. Snappy :)

Ok I tried again and everything seems to be working fine now. The only issue is that the signal bar does not show any blue bars. Both on 4G and 3G. I tried rebooting, turning on airplane mode, etc. but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas? Other than that it's all working fine as far as I can tell.

Thanks guys.

Just to let you know folks, the new Android 4.3 Camera/gallery .apk floating around out there FIXES the panorama mode for me. It's GREAT!

Android 4.3 from the Google Play edition Galaxy S4 leaked

Fantastic addition to Sourceress (or whatever version you're on). Make a nandroid backup, reboot and install. You'll need to put the camera and gallery icons back on your homescreen.

If install fails: use a file manager to go to System --> Apps, mount R/W, rename Gallery.apk to Gallery.apk.old and then install the new app. Done :)

Ok so I have been out of the game for a while. I was super happy with 5.2. I'm liking 5.4. The only issues I have right now are that the Google search crashes again, I can't find the skip track option with volume rocker, and using the volume rocker for moving the cursor. I'll go back and look for a fix for the search. It seems like there was a fix before. Does anyone know where the skip track option is?

Okay, I flashed it. No problem with Sourceress... thank you Eagle for the security fix!

EDIT: Android 4.3 system dump for Nexus available... shouldn't be long before we start seeing GNex ROMs for it. *hint hint* ;)

EDIT 2: Is anyone else having a problem keeping their wallpaper with Sourceress? I imagine that about every other day I have to reload my LWP...

Is there any way to download Sourceress other than through the ROM updates of Sourcery Tools? Every time I try to download it through that it's a bad download. I've looked on the forums with my phone's browser a few times, but didn't find any links for Sourceress.

EDIT: Failing that... anyone recommend what of the other ROMs out there are even close to as customizable as Sourcery, but stable?

If you haven't found it yet, let me know and I'll get it for you :)

EDIT: Never mind, PM Sent

EDIT 2: Whoo hoo! Android 4.3 is out! Let's all be very nice and politely BEG Team Sourcery to conjure up Sourcery 5.6 ;)

Wow, it's been a long time since I've been on here and I wanted to say how much I love this ROM. Reading through the past 15 pages made me really sad when I heard that this ROM was done being developed...and then happy because it seems like there's still updates going on. I'm rocking 4.5 because it was nice and I didn't feel the need, but I definitely can't wait to put on the latest version soon! Thanks to the developers for making such an awesome ROM and the people on here that are so helpful.

Same thing with me...tried 6 times over 4 days...I gave up and went back to LiquidSmooth until I get bored, then will restore my JBS 5.4 Got to LOVE how customizable this thing is...:D

That was fun, stayed on Liquid for about an hour...back on 5.4. So...whats this new Believe? Anyone try it yet? what should I expect IF I attempt it?

Thanks for the quick reply, as always. I'm not sure exactly where it is, I looked through the extra apps and some other parts of tools, but didn't see it?

EDIT:
Nevermind! I found the Black Magic toggle. ^.^ Works for me! One other thing I was going to ask a long time ago was, is there anyway to add a toggle or a homescreen shortcut to toggle the ticker animation for notifications, I saw the option in the settings, but I'm wondering if there is a way to make it more quickly accessible.
