I was one of the lucky few who mistakenly (?) got my phone shipped out early. FedEx delivered it this afternoon. I thought I was just getting the accessories and the phone would ship later. Mark me down as one happy camper!

If it helps anyone else, the way I got mine was that when I returned my Droid Eris, I had to talk with the customer service lady on the replacement phone and she asked if I would like to preorder an Incredible since I was talking with her. I jumped at the chance, and got some accessories with it too. So if you haven't preordered online yet, maybe it would be worthwhile to do it on the phone and you might get yours a week early.

OK. I'm going on that record, calling this whole fiasco bull - What's the point in this pre-order stuff? You have the phone? Sell the phone. Seriously considering exploring my options, in the next week or so. If anything, I may opt to deep-6 the discount, pay retail, and keep this situation for future reference.

I've been lucky enough, in the past, to snag a phone a few days early, but never had to wait this long. Feels like Apple BS, to me... :(

ALRIGHT... alright... i've seen some people complain about some really lame stuff on this thread but i've just let it go and not let it bother me... but you... you, my friend, sound like a crybaby. everyone on this thread wants this phone, but crying about it isnt going to get it to you any faster.

what fiasco?

Just venting. The Indians lost again :(

But I'm not real happy about waiting for the phone. If they didn't have them, it'd be understandable, but we know that's not the case, so VZW's just F'ing with us.

In the total scheme of things, it's not the end of the world. Really, it's not. It's just annoying, and I don't like being annoyed by people I pay money to...

Here is a site with a lot of cheap cases and chargers for the Incredible. Most items look pretty generic but they are inexpensive (did I say cheap?)

HTC Incredible (Droid Incredible) Cellet Bergamo Case Pouch Holster Red Black

This looks like a nice one, that would probably look good with our color scheme... any thoughts?
I have a feeling this wouldnt fit as snugly as i would like. The phone they have in there in the picture is the moto droid, which is bigger than the incredible.

I understand what you're sayin, but on the same note, you can say this about EVERY company that announces a release date for a product... they'll always have it in stock right before it's release. we're really not waiting a ton of time for this thing at all, just the fact that others mistakenly got their already makes the wait feel longer than it is. they're not screwing us, they gave us a date. unless they change the date in the next week, they didn't do anything wrong. we wanted a release date and we have one.

I have a question about exchange...

I currently have a windows mobile phone and have the 45$/month data package, cause I use exchange(for gmail) to sync my contacts, calendar, email etc.
Am I correct in assuming that I'll be fine dumping the 45$ data plan for the 30$ one with the Incredible? As far as I can assume, the functionality I'm losing on exchange access will be overridden by the fact that I was using it for gmail only, and since its an android phone, i'll have all my gmail stuff synced when I sign in with my account.

Can someone elaborate if i'm wrong, or have some info confused in some way.

Thanks

I have a data plan with my company's Microsoft Exchange on a WinMo phone (which will be replaced with an Incredible on 4/29 if not sooner.) I use the $30 plan and have had no problems with VZ.
