Root [ROM] Angry Bean / CM 10.1 [build 08.08.13]

Yeah I remember the chrome issue, it looks like it's fixed on the stable version. Now the same issue is on the application Maps. I don't know its a bug on purpose, or working on fixing it.

Yeah if you google "cm10.1 maps update flicker" you will find It's a pretty wide spread issue with the last maps update.

Is anyone having problems with Google Maps flickering like crazy? I thought it was just Navigation at first, but it's Maps too. Starts happening after just a few moments. Other GPS apps are fine. I tried deleting cache, uninstalling and reinstalling already.

Yeah I am having a wimax problem. my wimax doesn't stay connected with the 07/17 version... could this be a kernel issue?

I'm also experiencing the following issues. I just recently moved over to Angry Bean from Harmonia so maybe someone can suggest a fix for some of these?

* Maps/Navagation has flickering when used
* WiMax doesn't work (since I updated to the 7/17 version)
* When I try to attached a camera shot in mms I get a "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped" message every time. If I take the picture first, then attach it, it usually works.

DOwngrade wha wha wha . . NOO sir. . Look forward not backwards. . Fix the issue dont just hide it. . soo

Wouldn't say hide, more like not potentially spending hours upon hours trying to fix something that will most likely be addressed by either Google or the CM Team as it seems to be a wide spread issue currently with CM10 and a bunch of other stock 4.2.2 devices. If the issue persists much longer then its worth looking at. Otherwise counting on either the Google Engineers or CM Team figuring it out before I do. Will take a quick look as it originally took G60 and I a few weeks to get GPS working reliably and had found 2 methods for doing so. One was adding AMMS version 6225 into the GPS Hardware code and another was a set of libs someone found. Used the libs so we did not need to brake away and make our own fork. Makes bringing in future updates to the repo sometimes problematic. At the moment though since it only effects one app and not GPS in general I am putting my money on the issue fixing itself in the near future. Have been doing a sync and building the Rom on a daily basis and testing it out.

Otherwise still working on the other Rom but may post an update with just new commits from CM as their has been allot. Think there had been 20 commits to the framework alone the day after posting the current Rom. Not sure if there has been any noticeable changes but have only been using Angry Bean in the morning flashing a new build to test Maps on my way to work and then switching back to the Sense Rom for the rest of the day.

Anyone else having issues with a ton of hot reboots? It seems like every time I wake my phone it freezes and then reboots... Getting it at least a couple times a day (which is just enough to be super obnoxious).

Also got the flickering maps problem. Will look into downgrading Maps.

I was having that. Reflashing kernel seems to have helped.

The only time I have ever seen an unexpected reboot is after I flash the Rom 9 times out of 10 it reboots after restoring all my apps from the Play Store. Dont think its actually the case but almost seems like its by design as after the reboot my settings and wallpaper are restored. Tried not wiping data the last 2 days flashing my morning builds and they like rebooting mid "Android is updating" on the first boot. Hasn't been an issue on a full wipe though.

Started looking at a few things to see whats up with the last Maps Update from the Play Store last night. Little hard to pinpoint as GPS is working fine with every other app including the previous versions of the Maps app so don't think its a gps issue and the logcat hasn't yet been all that helpful. Looks like 10.1 development has slowed down on the CM side since 10.2. Otherwise figure with my luck I will work at it all weekend and then Google will end up releasing a working update on Monday so trying to use my bad luck to my advantage.

Any plans on merging the 10.2 work into Angry Bean? I know its a long way off from being stable, just curious as to your plans.

Restore your backup. Power on you phone let it boot completely. Reboot recovery, don't format partitions; wipe data, cache and dalvik. Begin flashing in order the tutorial suggests
Thanks, but it didn't work... Still bootloops. :( One thing that I've realized is that this ROM is awfully small at 150Mb. Should I be installing this over an existing Jelly Bean ROM? My backup consist of a ICS rom ( unSENSEable ).
