Sense 5 begins to roll out on HOX+

Tell me more!

What is the battery life like? (I'm not dissatisfied with my current battery but I cold always use a little more juice).

What is the new lockscreen?

I guess I will have to wait a while yet for my O2 branded hox+ to update.

To me, battery life is improved. Don't have stats to back that up, just how it feels!

Will try to post picture of lockscreen...

I'm really liking the new Sense 5 update. Much smoother than before...

How many hours (roughly) did your phone last before the update? and after?

I guess the unlocked (non-LTE) fares better than the LTE variant. I'm at a standstill as I'm not sure if I want to swap for the newly reduced price N4 or Moto X. If this update fixes the few issue I usually have (battery/some lag) I might just stay put for another year.

I received the O2 UK update on Friday evening. Comments so far:-

1) A slight improvement on battery life.
2) Phone overheats less.
3) Phone feels more responsive.
3) Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5.0 don't really bring much to the party.

However, I do think that 1) & 2) are linked. During the summer months my phone regularly overheated and battery life was terrible. Now that the autumn months are here my phone no longer overheats and the battery is lasting longer. I noticed this before the update, but I will say that the upgrade has also improved this noticably. The overheating and battery drain seems to happen when the device is being used for intensive task in temperatures above 18 degreesC.

My phone has fewer wakelocks since the update to 4.2.2 & therefore the battery lasts longer when not in use.

I like the sense 5 theming. I think it's more cohesive & up to date than 4+ which seemed to be a jumbled mix of styles to me. In fact I've reverted to the stock launcher because I just like the look of sense 5. It doesn't do much that sense 4 didn't though.
